A Gryffindor first-year made her way through the corridors, making her way to her and her best friend's meeting place, climbing the stairs to the abandoned classroom where they'd made their spot. She didn't know why the classroom had been left abandoned but decided not to question it. She plopped herself down on a beanbag they'd brought in there, the magical fairy lights she convinced her parents to send over twinkling on the walls, the desks and chairs they had moved to the side tilting in their piles.
She crossed her legs in her beanbag, her purple snake wrapped around her neck as the door was flung open by her best friend running into the classroom.
"Y/n, Y/n, you know how Malfoy got those Gryffindor friends of yours in trouble?" Maia spoke quickly.
"Yes?" Y/n responded although it came out as more of a question.
"And how you weren't in trouble because you ended up running to the Slytherin dorms?"
"Mmhmm, we had a sleepover and tricked the Slytherin's into thinking I was in fact, Slytherin," Y/n confirmed.
"And you know how we're reviewin' Cure for Boils next potions class?" Maia spoke.
"Uh-huh."
"What do you say we get a little revenge?" Maia smirked pulling out what appeared to be a vile of green powder.
Y/n and Maia forwent their usual habit of sitting with the Gryffindors in potions class, instead opting to sit with Malfoy and his friends (much to Malfoy's delight, he forced Goyle to move so Y/n would sit next to him, offering to help her with the potion and boasting about how good he was at potions). Just before they started brewing the potion Y/n asked Malfoy to help her grab a particular ingredient that was 'out of reach', he happily obliged, making his friends join him as Y/n quickly went back to Maia. Careful not to touch the dangerous green powder, the two quickly coated Malfoy's cauldron with it.
