SWEET MORNING

______

Jennie woke up earlier than usual, feeling a sense of lightness after the beautiful day spent with Taehyung. She quickly freshened up and made her way down to the breakfast table, expecting to find the others. But to her surprise, the table was empty, the mansion still quiet with the early morning calm. A small smile crept onto her face as a thought crossed her mind—this could be the perfect chance to spend some more time alone with Taehyung.

With that in mind, Jennie decided to go upstairs and wake Taehyung up herself. She made her way to his room, her heart fluttering with excitement at the thought of surprising him. But as she approached his door, she stopped in her tracks. There, standing just outside his room, was Mia.

Mia turned to see Jennie, her expression shifting from surprise to something darker. Jennie’s own expression quickly turned cold, her excitement now replaced with a steely determination.

**Mia (mockingly):** "What are you doing here, Jennie? Trying to play the perfect little girlfriend by waking Taehyung up? How sweet."

Jennie didn’t respond immediately, instead, she stepped closer, her eyes narrowing as she sized Mia up. Her usual warmth was gone, replaced by an icy demeanor that sent a chill through the air.

**Jennie (calmly):** "I could ask you the same thing, Mia. What are you doing here so early in the morning, lingering outside Taehyung’s room?"

Mia scoffed, crossing her arms defensively. "Unlike you, I have a real reason to be here. Taehyung and I are close—much closer than you think."

Jennie’s gaze hardened, but she didn’t let Mia’s words rattle her. Instead, she tilted her head slightly, her voice dropping to a low, almost dangerous tone. "Close, you say? Funny, because from where I’m standing, it looks more like you’re desperately trying to cling to something that isn’t yours."

Mia’s eyes flashed with anger, her voice rising as she took a step closer to Jennie. "You don’t belong here, Jennie. Taehyung and I—we have history. We’ve been through so much together, and you’re just... a phase. A distraction. You’re nothing compared to me."

Jennie remained unfazed, her cold demeanor only intensifying. She met Mia’s glare with a piercing look of her own. "History doesn’t mean anything if there’s no future. And as for who belongs here, I’m not the one standing outside someone else’s door like a lost puppy."

Mia clenched her fists, visibly shaking with frustration. She opened her mouth to retort, but Jennie cut her off, stepping even closer until they were almost nose to nose.

**Jennie (in a low, icy voice):** "Let me make this clear, Mia. Taehyung is not yours to claim, and I’m not someone you can just push aside. You may have your little games, but don’t think for a second that I won’t fight back. I’m not scared of you, and I’m not going anywhere."

Mia’s eyes widened, a mixture of shock and fury in her expression. Jennie’s words had struck a nerve, and she could feel her control slipping. But before Mia could respond, the door behind her creaked open.

Taehyung, still groggy from sleep, appeared in the doorway, blinking in confusion at the tense scene before him. His gaze shifted from Mia to Jennie, concern quickly replacing his confusion.

**Taehyung (softly):** "Jennie? Mia? What’s going on?"

Jennie quickly softened her expression, the coldness melting away as she turned to Taehyung. She offered him a small, reassuring smile, her voice gentle. "Nothing, Taehyung. I just came to wake you up. We have the whole morning to ourselves."
