THE SURPRISE APPEARANCE

______

After finishing breakfast, Taehyung took a deep breath, knowing he had something important to announce. He looked over at Jennie, who was still smiling softly from their earlier intimate moments. But now, his expression grew more serious. Standing up from the table, he cleared his throat to get everyone's attention.

“Guys, can I have a moment?” Taehyung said, his voice firm and commanding, immediately drawing the focus of the room. Jennie, Jimin, Jungkook, Suga, and the rest of the team turned their attention to him, sensing the gravity in his tone.

As everyone gathered around the dining room, Taehyung took a deep breath before speaking again. “We’ve been invited to a party,” he began, his eyes scanning the room, “but it’s not just any party. It’s a mafia gathering.”

A wave of silence fell over the room, the weight of his words settling in. The mention of a mafia party immediately put everyone on edge. They all knew what such an event could mean—danger, deception, and high stakes.

Jimin was the first to speak up, his brow furrowed. “A mafia party? Who invited us?”

Taehyung’s eyes darkened slightly as he replied, “The invitation came from the Eastern Syndicate. We’ve crossed paths with them before, and they’re not a group to be taken lightly.”

Jennie’s heart skipped a beat. She knew the kind of people who would attend such an event, and she could feel a sense of dread beginning to settle in her stomach. She had been trying to stay away from the darker aspects of the underworld, but now it seemed they were being pulled right back in.

Suga, who had been quietly listening, leaned back in his chair, his face betraying no emotion. “What’s their angle? Why invite us now?”

Taehyung’s jaw tightened as he considered Suga’s question. “It’s hard to say. But one thing is clear—they want to see us up close, maybe even test us. We need to be on our guard.”

Jungkook crossed his arms, his eyes narrowing. “And you’re sure we should go? This could be a trap.”

Taehyung nodded, his expression resolute. “I’ve thought about that. But turning down the invitation would be seen as a sign of weakness. We have to show them that we’re not afraid.”

Jennie, who had been quiet until now, finally spoke up, her voice soft but steady. “What’s the plan, Taehyung? How do we handle this?”

Taehyung turned to Jennie, his gaze softening slightly as he looked at her. “We’ll go as a team. Stay together, watch each other’s backs, and don’t trust anyone. This is about sending a message as much as it is about gathering information. We need to show them that we’re strong, that we can’t be intimidated.”

The room fell silent again as everyone processed the gravity of the situation. Each of them knew the risks involved, but they also knew that they couldn’t afford to back down.

Taehyung took a step closer to Jennie, his voice lowering as he spoke to her directly. “You’ll stay close to me the entire time, okay? I won’t let anything happen to you.”

But before Jennie could respond, Mia, who had been quietly observing the conversation, suddenly spoke up. “Taehyung,” she began, her tone laced with an edge of jealousy, “if this party is as dangerous as you say, maybe I should come too. You know, to support you and the team.”

Her suggestion hung in the air, and everyone could feel the tension it brought with it. Jennie glanced at Mia, sensing the ulterior motive behind her words.
