We resume at the capital in Ionia City, where I am discussing with the ministry about the deserters. I too am one of the people that thinks we should just let them go, cut ties, but our government, so the ministry in turn, has other plans.

Rep: <You will travel to Piltover, where you will keep one of ours or your own informed of your progress.>

An alarming number of deserters have already been slaughtered at the hands of the Ionian and Noxan military thanks to the alliance. Zed, Karma, Irelia, names I remember who fought alongside us in the wars, and who joined when we conquered the Shadow Order. If you did not conform, you were killed.

Alas, it means I am now taking on the younger generation of deserters. An alarming amount of them are in Piltover, living their lives either in music, in justice, or in crime. A list has been printed and handed to me. The names go in order of risk and influence, and I must... dispatch or conform... all of them...

Ahri Vesani, Akali Tethi, Yasuo, Shieda Kayn, Yone, Syndra, Settrigh, Varus, Lee Sin, Yi, Xayah, Rakan

I recognize some of these names, mainly the one being Akali. Wasn't she the youngling who used to send me notes while I was in prison? This was the same with Kayn, though he wasn't as memorable. They've never seen my face, they have never met me in person, so my cover will still be safe.

Y/N: <A rather lengthy list, representative...>

Rep: <Is it not too much for the Kinkou to handle?>

Y/N: <Nonsense, I can personally guarantee you that every name on this will be accounted for.>

Rep: <You leave in two hours, be ready at the Doro airfield.>

Y/N: <Got it.>

I leave the courtroom and leave the capital soon after. I travel back to the monastery only to pack my bags. Extra clothes, a rifle, shuriken, extra blades, two handguns, ammo, things that won't be checked because I'll be on military aircraft. Shen stops me on my way out.

Y/N: <I can't stay, I must go.>

Shen: <I know, but who were the assignments?>

Y/N: <This list...>

I show him the list, and he sighs as he reads through the names and views the small database photos next to them. He hands them back to me, and I tuck it back in my jacket.

Shen: <You can't kill all those people.>

Y/N: <I know, and I won't. However, they will know if I do or not, and they'll make sure to let you know that they do, especially...>

Shen: <You're right. If they are not in support of... our ruling, take care of them.>

Y/N: <Oh, I see, so if they are in support of what the Kinkou wants, then we spare them. If they are in support of what our government hopes to do, then weee...>

Shen: <Yes... see, now you're getting it.>

Y/N: <Very smart, it plays nicely. Thank you, Shen-sama, I will take these orders with me, and return home safely.>

Shen: <You fucking better, bro.>

Y/N: <Stop that... act serious, bro.>

Shen: <Safe travels, Y/N-san.>

He pats my shoulder, and that REALLY was the last time I was here for a while. I ride to the airfield, where I am escorted to a plane. In no time at all, they took me and my bags and put me on that small passenger airliner.
