ONE WEEK PASSES!
For the past week, I've been pleading with Wei and members of the government to spare Akali. They threaten to handle the job for me; however I tell them that I am more than capable, but it's a waste of time for a woman who lives a popstar life, and this creates all forms of bad outcomes. We can simply convince her to support the government. I bring up Ahri's situation, and they say Akali's circumstances are different, because she was a close member of the Kinkou, with means to come back if she were to do so. No amount of persuasion will ever turn them around.
Y/N: <Just tell them to consider what I have said to you!>
Wei: <Finish your job, do not force their hand. Ionia will rise.>
He hung up the phone, and this time, I really contemplated throwing the phone. In fact, I do throw the phone, almost tearing the work my body has performed to heal my back's cut to just hear that metal clatter of my phone hitting the back balcony's railing. That area is still stiff, but it no longer hurts until it says it does.
*CLACK! DINK!*
It cracks the corner of the phone screen; thankfully I bought a case when I restored the Taste. If it weren't in a case, this thing would shatter. I realize it's still working when I get another call, from an unknown number this time, but of Piltover area code. It's Akali, and speaking of the K/DA, I haven't kept in touch with them at all, none of the girls actually. Nothing else has changed in my life, other than the stress of this horrible job. I need to call Shen... he is long overdue for an update...
Normally, he's the one who calls me, but now I am worried...
Y/N: Akali. <How are you?>
Akali: <Y/N-chan, I am doing fine, but I'm more concerned about Kayn.>
Y/N: <It's respectable...>
Akali: <Is he...> Hmmm... <Did you help him depart?>
Y/N: <I did, or so I thought, I got him there. I don't know where he ended up though, he was gone when I woke up the next day.>
Akali: <Wait... s-so you didn't...>
Y/N: <It would be enough to send anyone away... A scythe put through his chest...>
Akali: <STOP!!!> I-I don't need to know all the details.
Y/N: I'm sorry, but he's gone. He was not there when I woke up, nowhere at all. Regardless, I had enough for my report for the Ionian stooges, so regardless of where he is now, he's fine.
Akali: <Does that mean you're finally done?>
Y/N: <I am... and once again, I am so sorry, Akali.>
Akali: <You said it before, and I know you mean it. I can forgive you; I knew you never wanted things to end up like this.>
Y/N: <I'm happy you agree. Can I see you?>
Akali: Hehe... You always could come see me! I got my own place now! Same with the other girls. I was upset before, but now I understand. Just stop beating yourself up about these things!
Y/N: Maybe you're right... I'm sor- ugh... Alright, well, what are you guys up to tonight?
Akali: Ahri's feeling good enough for a party, you could come over to my place and uhh... y'know, spend some time with the girls and I. Eve wants you to bring some of those male hosts over, the red hair guy at least.
Y/N: Ehhh... I could, but he's gotta work tonight.
Akali: You want us all to yourself, huh?
Y/N: <Stop that...>
