Offroad X Daou from century of love the series
---

Off adjusted his tie in the hotel mirror, taking a deep breath. Weddings were always emotional, but this one felt particularly significant. Maybe it was the thought of seeing old friends, or perhaps it was the lingering sense that something important was going to happen today.

The ballroom was already alive with chatter and laughter when Off arrived. He recognized familiar faces, each one bringing back memories of their school days. It had been years since they were all together, dreaming about the future while sitting in the schoolyard. Those dreams had taken them on different paths, scattering them across different places.

As Off navigated through the crowd, he exchanged greetings with a few old friends, making small talk about life and work. But his mind was elsewhere, caught in a loop of anticipation. He couldn’t quite place why he felt so on edge, but he knew it had something to do with the possibility of seeing Daou.

Just as he was about to head towards the bar, a familiar voice called his name from behind.

“Off?”

Off’s heart skipped a beat as he turned around. Standing there, looking both familiar and different at the same time, was Daou. His features were the same, but there was an air of maturity around him that took Off by surprise.

“Daou,” Off said, trying to keep the surprise out of his voice. “I didn’t know you were coming.”

Daou’s lips curled into a soft smile, one that made Off’s chest tighten with a mix of emotions. “I wasn’t sure I could make it either, but I couldn’t miss this reunion.”

For a moment, they stood there in awkward silence, the weight of unspoken words hanging between them. It had been years since they last saw each other—years since life had pulled them in different directions. Yet, despite the time and distance, seeing Daou again felt like no time had passed at all.

“Do you want to step outside for a bit?” Off suggested, feeling the need to escape the noise and the crowd. Daou nodded, and they made their way to the terrace.

The night air was cool, the sky dotted with stars. Off leaned against the railing, glancing at Daou who seemed lost in thought as he looked up at the sky. The silence between them was comfortable, a reminder of the connection they once shared.

“I’ve missed this,” Daou said after a while, his voice soft. “I’ve missed you.”

Off turned to look at him, his heart beating faster. “I’ve missed you too, Daou. More than you know.”

Daou sighed, his expression turning serious. “Why did we let so much time pass? We were so close, and then… we just drifted apart.”

Off nodded, understanding exactly what Daou meant. “Life happened, I guess. We both got busy, and before I knew it, weeks turned into months, and months into years. But that doesn’t mean I ever stopped thinking about you. About us.”
