Enigma

Attack

Karan and Teju left for his house. His mom was waiting for them on the other side. Teju was trying to be happy but she was not. She still had that feeling of losing karan which she didn't want. She was trying to keep up a happy face but Karan knew her a little more than what she thought. He knew she was still in that zone but he decided to not nudge her at that moment. After some time, they reached. They went inside and saw that his mom was in the kitchen.

"Maa...we are here."
"Ohh...welcome Teju...(And she hugs her tightly leaving Karan unattended. Karan's mouth just hung in air and he was pissed at not getting any attention at the same time happy to see his mother loving the woman of his choice.)"
"Hello...excuse me....mai bhi hu yaha....ye kya hijacking chal rhi hai?"
"Karan...tu chup kar..mujhe teju se baat karne de. Chal beta andar chal ke bethte hai... yaha bohot disturbance hai (she said this while eyeing Karan...to which Teju blurted out laughing...karan was happy to see her laughing finally)"
"Yarr mai ni khel raha....(Karan acted to be sad but it didn't bother his mother...both of them looked at him seriously but the very next moment broke out lauging.)
"Let's go teju..."
"Okay ...."
Teju turned and looked at karan. He was smiling and gestured for her to carry on.

They spoke for a while. Meanwhile , Karan got freshened up, played a match of fifa but his mind was on Teju. He couldn't focus on the game. He stood up and went to his mother's room. He barged in and both his mom and Teju looked at him confused.
"Mom...vo...vo ...mujhe na...haa ..mujhe bedsheet chahiye thi"
"To le ja yaha se..."
"Mom mujhe ye bhi puchna tha dad kab tak aenge?"
"Karan kya hogya hai tujhe...tere dad usual time pe aenge...ab ja yaha se.."
"Accha ..ok..apko kuch chahiye to nahi...chae coffee colddrink whisky...kuch bhi?"
Karan's mother knew why Karan is lingering here and making stupid excuses to be in the room ..but she was just pulling his legs.
"Nahi hame kuch ni chahiye...tu ja .."
Karan got a bit sad and was going back when his mom called him and said
" Accha sun...jate jate gate band kar dena"
Karan got pissed off now which was noticed by his mom and Teju was smiling ear to ear looking at him being so restless.
"Accha sun na karan...mai ja rahi hu lunch ke last minute preparation karne... tu chahe to teju ko ghar dikha de "
" Haa haa...ap jao.." he said and then realized that he was being impatient. He closed his eyes and mentally slapped himself. His mom didn't aay anything but smiled hard at this. Teju felt shy and wanted to get under the bed to hide herself. Awkwarddd....!

His mom went away and now Karan asked Teju to show her the house. Karan gave her a house tour and lastly it was Karan's room.
"....and this is my room "
"Wow... it's pretty. (Her eyes fell on the painting she gifted to Karan. She felt happy that karan actually put it on his wall. )"
"Come let's sit and talk. "
"It's the first tym I am in your room. I really like it. "
"Thanks. It was made only for me way before I was even born. "
"That's really special right. "
"Yes it is. "
" Can I see the balcony?"
"Yeah sure..."
She opens the balcony window and she was mesmerized seeing the view outside. She could see mountains and valleys at a distance. It was dreamy. She closed her eyes and let the view sink in. Karan saw her engrossed in it. He didn't disturb her and clicked a few random pictures of her and kept the phone back in his pocket.
"This is my favourite view from now on. "
"And this is my favourite view (karan said looking at teju)"
Hearing it Teju felt butterflies in her stomach. She lowered her eyes in shyness. Karan held her chin and made her look up, came closer to her and kissed her forehead softly. Teju closed her eyes on this and just smiled.
"I know you still have this feeling or fear of losing me ..but trust me ..I won't let you go or this what we have let go so easily. I promise I will always be by you side. I'll always hold you close whenever you need me. I'll always wipe your tears whenever you'll feel low. I'll always hold your hand whenever you're scared. I'll always love you no matter what. I was never so sure about many things in my life ...but I'm damn sure about you...about us!"
Tejasswi had tears in her eyes and a smile on her lips. She hugged him and said
" I have lost so many people in my life that I am scared to lose you now. I want you to be with me because I am selfish. I can't even imagine my life without you now. These two months in Dehradun are the best times of my life and these two months with you are the most cherished moments of my life. "
They just stayed in each other's embrace for a while and then they heard his mom calling them down for lunch. They came down immediately and sat for lunch.
Teju could see so much food on the table and all of it looked delicious. She was so hungry that she started having food. She took the first bite and she closed her eyes. It was so yumm...she couldn't even say anything.
His mom asked ..
"Teju kya hua...you didn't like the food? Is it too spicy ? "
"No..aunty ..actually...I loved it. Mujhe mamma ki yaad agyi. Its been so many months...I haven't even seen her or had food by her hands. It's just that I miss her..."
Karan's mom got up and hugged her tightly. She said
"Aj se jab bhi mamma ki yaad aye... I'll be your mamma for you. Ok? Ab rote nahi. Khana khate waqt rone se paap lagta hai. So stop crying ...and have it.(She fed her the food herself)"
