Enigma

Apology

They reached Teju's home. Sam and Teju  would be in her room and Karan will sleep on the couch in the living room. Karan ordered food for them and served it and brought it for Teju. But she refused, she was not in the mood to eat and sulking.
"Khana ni khaogi ?"
"Uhhm...man ni hai"
"Thoda sa kha lo..."
"Ni"
"Mere liye....please?"
"Ok fine. "
Karan makes her eat. She had her only because Karan insisted. After she had dinner, karan and sam ate too. Teju was still upset. Karan thought of leaving them alone so that Teju can share whatever she was feeling. He thought maybe she is not comfortable sharing it with him so he decided to give her some space.
Sam asked Teju
"Tu thik hai na?"
"I don't know Sam....aj jo hua... ye kisi ne janbujh kar kiya hai to age bhi ho sakta hai...shayad kuch isse bhi bura. Aj karan tha, usne mujhe bacha liya humiliate hone se...par zaruri ni har baar vo aas paas ho"
"Dekh to bilkul tension mat le...Amy ar Aditya uske ghar ki sari cctv footage check krenge kal subah hote hi. Hame pata chal jaega ki ye ghinona kaam kisne kiya hai"
"Hmm...tu so ja...mai thik hu. "

Karan was just out of her room and listening to their conversation. He was just sad at the turn of events that took place. Even more because it happened with the person he cares the most about. He was upset seeing her upset. With these thoughts he went to the couch and lied there but sleep was far from his eyes. He was trying to recall who that
person could be. He took his phone out and again replayed the video. While the video was playing, his eyes filled with anger once again...but he closely saw the footage. He zoomed in on the part where a hand was seen to be unzipping her dress. He paused it and zoomed in to find something similar. It was a tattoo. A particular tattoo on the fingers of that person. He instantly knew who was behind all this and he just wanted to teach that person a lesson but it was too late in the night and also Teju needed him more than anything else.

Teju was not able to sleep. She just waited for Sam to fall asleep. After she was asleep...Teju decided to check on Karan. She stepped out of her room and went to the living room where she could see karan still sitting on the sofa.
"Karan?"
"Teju...tum soyi kyu nahi...kya hua....tension ho rahi hai kya?"
"Nahi..mai thik hu...par tum ku jage ho?"
"Can't sleep Teju. Kal ka din bohot important hai. Aj ye sb jisne bhi kiya h I swear kal vo insan tumse sabke samne mafi mangega. I promise."
"Kya tumhe idea hai ye kisne kiya hai?"
"I think so...but mujhe ek baar bs us insan ke muh se khud nikalwana hai"
"Tum ni hote to mai kese handle karti ye sab...all of this is so disgusting...I just feel so humiliated...kl sare students mujhe dekh ke baate banaenge... Mzak udaenge mera ..mai kese face karungi" saying this she had tears in her eyes.
"Teju...sit here first... You are not dependent on me. Tu khud bohot strong hai baby... Tujhe kusi se darne ki zarurat nahi hai...tu akhe uchi karke logo se nazre mila ke chalegi. Mai kal sab thik kar dunga. Please don't cry." He wiped her tears and hugged her tightly. They were just in each other's arms for some time. Karan held her tightly as if she was made of cotton...delicate and soft. Teju clung on to him as if he was a rock...the toughest support she could ever have.
After a while, karan sent teju to her room to sleep. The next morning they reached college. Karan was a little late as he first had to go to his house to change. Teju and Sam reached together. At first she was a little hesitant but remembering what karan said to her last night...she gathered all the courage and walked in confidently. Everybody was giving her looks but she didn't care about anybody and entered her class.

Teju was waiting for Karan. After the first lecture Karan came , Teju was extremely happy to see him she even waved at him ..but he ignored her. Teju thought he might be thinking something but what happened next shocked her. Karan reached near her seat ..teju shifted making space for him to sit but she ignored her completely and went to sit with Avika. Avika on the other hand, was on top of the cloud to see him sitting beside her. She said
"Oh my God, Karan...you are going to sit beside me?"
"Yes, why...do you have a problem avu?"
"Oh God no...are you mad. No ..i was dying to hear you call my name. I am so glad you are here Karan. "
"Ofcourse I had to come to you. You made me realise what I was doing with my life"
"What do you mean?"
"Ohh come on avu...You know what I mean. Let it be...meet me during lunch....alone...in the rehearsal room okk"
"Okk..sure" oh my goddd..yes yes yess...finally karan wants to be back with me. Thank you God... Whatever I did...it was worth it in the end. She blushed hard and was smiling ear to ear.
On the other hand, tejasswi was just trying to control her tears somehow seeing them together. She wanted to talk to Karan but he was avoiding her. She thought maybe he was embarrassed because of her. So she thought to speak to him after the college gets over. But whatever said n done...she was still sad and heartbroken to see him avoid her in public.

It was lunch, Karan went out first and then Avika went after him. Karan was already waiting for Avika in the rehearsal room. Soon she came...karan first hugged her tightly and said
"I am so sorry...Avu...forgive me please"
"Karan...Its ok...it doesn't matter, you are back now I am really happy"
"Its all because of you avu....tune meri ankhe nahi kholi hoti to mai to us tejasswi ke sath phas jata "
"Kya bol rhe ho Karan?"
"Avu...I know it was you who sent her pictures with her boyfriend jiske sath vo mujhpe cheat karrhi thi. Kl jo uske sath party me hua...bilkul sahi hua...agar mujhe pata chal gaya na ki vo kon tha...mai kasam se uski puja karunga sari zindagi. Esi ladkiyo ke sath esa hi hona chahiye. And thank god mai bach gaya"
Avika thought who sent karan Teju's pictures because it was not her. But who ever it was, did her a huge favour. Though teju seems to be one of those one man woman type but it was good for her sake that Karan is now back. She said
"Yes Karan, mujhe to shuru se shak tha us ladki pe ki vo tumhe ghuma rahi hai...ar kal jo hua uske sath party me...vo maine hi kiya tha...maine hi use nicha dikhane k lie uski dress ka zip khola tha. Thank god mera face kisi video me ni aya ni to mai pakdi jati."
"Are you mad, mai kese maan lu ki tum hi thi vo well wisher meri?"
"Karan I am telling you the truth...ek min ruko...ye dekho video me ye tattoo dikh raha h....now see this it's the same tattoo on my finger too. But keeping everything aside....I am so happy that karan you are with me now. Whatever I did was to get you back. I swear, I made the biggest mistake lyf my life by letting you go once....I won't repeat it again I swear....I love you so much. " Saying this she was waiting eagerly for his reply . But karan just stood there for a minute and then said,
"Bahar ajao Amy"
"Amy? What is going on here? Avika said confusingly. She saw, Amy and Agastya coming out of the changing room with a camera in their hand. It didn't even take her a minute to understand that she was exposed. Her plan backfired. Now they had an upper hand on her and all the proof they needed against her. She felt betrayed by Karan. Of course, it was all a facade created by Karan himself to trap her.

"What do you have to say about this Miss Avika?"
" You cheated me Karan. "
"Cheated...hahahaha....I cheated on you? And what were you doing the entire time Avika?"
"I won't leave you or your fucking girlfriend."
"Shut upp...just shut up...enoughhh " he said in an extremely angry tone. She had shivers down her spine.
" I can't change what you did....but now I will do what I want. Listen to me very carefully... You'll go out and apologise to Teju right now infront of everybody by touching her feet. You'll beg for her forgiveness....
"I won't ka...
"Uhuh...you don't have any choice...if you don't do this... I have the recording...it will be sent to local news channels and they'll make a big headline out of it...your father's name and reputation will be tarnished because of your own hatred and jealousy...so it's better to apologise the way I said, to Teju. "
"You can't do this to me Karan..."
"Oh...I will...you poked someone close to my heart...someone very special for me.... I will not leave you so easily. "
"I won't... I ll call your bluff"
"Ok...try me...Amy send it to Dehradun Local right now. Ask them to publish it in the next slot and make it a huge headline. Okk...so avika...will see you after the next heading. "
"Karan wait.... I'll apologize...please ask him to stop...I swear I'll do it..."
"Amy don't ...but if she doesn't start apologising from Teju in the next 10 minutes....make sure to send it to all the news channels of Dehradun. "
"Okk bhai..."

Saying this he walked out of the room. He knew he was doing the right thing by standing up for Teju. But he was scared as well ..as he saw her face...she was completely pissed off seing him talking to Avika and ignoring her. But it was a  part of the plan so he was hopeful that Teju might understand it and not react bad at this.
