Tactics

The next morning, Teju reached college earlier for her dance practice. In a month, their team had to prepare a dance for the upcoming college fest. The dance theme was fusion. The entire team had decided to practice from today onwards. Teju reached the rehearsal room and within 15 minutes they started practicing. Teju was wearing a jeans and short kurti with jhumkis and a bindi. The song was Unholy x Apsara ali.

They were deciding steps. Teju was watching and learning the steps from her seniors and aced it in one go. Everybody was super impressed seeing how quick the learner she was. Meanwhile somebody was watching her throughout. No it was not Karan, it was Avika.
After the practice, when Teju came out of the room, Avika stopped her with her hand and Teju was completely pissed off seeing her but obviously she didn't want to create a scene in front of everyone so she stepped aside to talk.
Avika held Teju's hand and started crying,
"I am sorry Tejasswi....please forgive me for what I did. It's not me ....trust me...I know what I did was so wrong...and beyond forgivable but please forgive me🙏"
"It's ok Avika...you don't have to apologise to me. I am not upset with you. It's just that Karan and I....
"Tejasswi, speaking of Karan.... I wanted to ask you a favour. You know me and Karan are childhood friends. Vo kabhi mujhse naraz bhi ho jata hai to bhi zada din mujhse dur ni reh pata. Hum bachpan se hi sath rahe hai...ekdum inseparable. Ar jese hi tum ayi uski life me....tabse....vo mujhse dur ho gaya hai... And now he's so mad at me... he's not even receiving my calls. I love him a lot Tejasswi....out of everyone...you are the only person who would know ki kesa lagta hai jab ap jisse sabse zada pyar karte ho vhi apse dur ho jaye....tejasswi I beg of you...please karan ko mujhe lauta do 🙏 ek tum hi ho jo ye kar skti hai..please Tejasswi.... I won't be able to live without him please let him come back to me🙏😭"
Avika was crying badly the entire time. At first, when she apologized to teju,it was still ok for her...but the moment she began to speak about karan and how she loves him, teju understood what she was trying to do. Teju might be naive and soft and calm but she is not stupid. She understood that it was only one of Avika's maneuvers to get Karan back.
She said,
"I completely understand what you are going through. I completely understand. But you have to understand too...that Karan is not a child anymore. He has the right to choose. He chose to be with me and not you. So I have no right to force anything upon him. Similarly you don't have any right to force him to be back in your life. He has clearly said it before...he doesn't love you. I mean what do you expect out of him. If he doesn't love you...neither of you could be happy together. It's good that he has let you go....find a guy who loves you completely. Maybe Karan isn't the guy for you. Try to move on Avika... life's too big. And next time on...you don't have to apologise if you are not guilty. You could have told me clearly that you only wanted Karan back in your life. At least be honest somewhere....I would really appreciate that. Now if you would excuse me...I have a lecture to attend."

Teju left the place and Avika was standing with her mouth open. She thought she's too smart to manipulate teju but she's not that dumb. Now her anger was much more than before. Her last resort was also destroyed by teju.

Teju entered the class and was about to take her seat when her eyes fell on the seat beside her. Usually, it was Sam who used to be beside her but today, it was Karan. Seeing him, a smile appeared on her lips and she blushed. Karan gestured for her to sit...after which she sat beside him. Karan asked her,
"What took you so long...I was dying to see you."
"Nothing much...just Avika and her usual drama"
"What....what did she do....I won't leave her..."
"Stop... it's ok...She didn't do anything. She came to talk... indirectly make a deal with me to let you go back to her."
"So what did you say ?"
"I said...she can have you if she wants to "
"Whattt the hell...are you serious? "
Tejasswi couldn't control her laugh anymore.
"Ok I am sorry...i was just joking. I said that you are not a kid...you have your own choices and you chose to be with me. She thought I would easily fall for her tricks but I am not that dumb. I know what she's trying to do."
Karan did the balaye action and said
"Uff...mai kitthe javan...inni soni kudi mili menu "
"Bas karo " (she blushed)

They attended the class for some time. During break, karan teju sam, amy and Dane were sitting together in the canteen. Karan was feeding Teju with his own hands. Avika was sitting at a distance. She fisted her hands seeing them but she had no option left. She was not ready to accept that Karan is with Teju, the only person she hates so much.
It was a given fact that she is not going to stop here. It was just the beginning.
