Chance

Karan and Teju comes home. Karan's mom welcomes Teju and tightly hugs her. She had tears in her eyes so did Teju. Karan was little emotional too. But Karan's dad tried to lift their mood and made Teju sit on the sofa.

"Thank god, Teju bilkul thik hai. Beta tum bilkul fikar mat karna. Karan ke dad tumhari mamma ko ghar le aenge. "
"Thank you aunty. "
" Tum apne kamre me jao. Fresh ho lo mai khana lekar ati hu ok. "
"Ok."

Teju goes to her room. Gets freshened up. And sits in her bed when she hears a knock on the door. She got up and opened it to find Karan with a tray of food.

"Chlo lunch karlo. Bhuk lagi hogi na?"
"Tumne khaya?"
"Nahi vo pehle tum kha lo...mai baad me kha lunga."
"Idhar aao...betho..." She takes a bite in her hand and forwards it to his mouth "I know...tumne bhi kal se kuch ni khaya hai. Khao"
Karan takes the bite. He feeds the next bite to her. She eats it peacefully.
Both had the lunch together. And all of it was seen by Karan's mom. She just adored them from a distance. And left them alone to spend some time together.

"Karan...tumne bola tha tum mom se milwane le jaoge"
"I know...hum chalenge...okk"
"Kab?"
"Sham me...abi tum rest kro"
"Pakka ?"
"Teju....I promise...mai tumhe aunty se zaroor milwaunga. Accha chalo ab ye medicines lo. "
"Yukkk 🥴...no!!"
"Yess...chalo shabash....jaldi khao."

He gives her the medicines which she had to take. She was making faces which was very appealing for karan to watch. He had a teasing smile on his face the entire time.

"Whattt...?"
"Huh"
"Why are you laughing?"
"I am not laughing"
"You are mocking me... I already don't like these medicines "
"But you really look like a laddoo...when you make these faces."
"You are calling me fat?"
"Fat..what...no...no no....laddoo means cute and tempting for me. You look tempting baby"
"Shut up Karan. What are you doing?"
"You really are a laddoo....I am gonna call you a laddoo from now on."

Teju argued against it..but karan won. Teju got a new nickname. All thanks to Karan Kundrra. After a while, Teju slept for sometime as she still had a little weakness. In the evening, Karan woke her up. They decided to go meet her mom in the police station.

Karan drove Teju there. She was a little nervous to meet her own mom. She never shared the usual bond that any other normal mother and daughter shares. But despite all of this, her mother saved her. All of those things, clouded her head. Karan looked at her, and he somehow knew what she was going through. He put his hand on hers...and clutched them softly and said
"Don't be so hard on yourself Teju. Give her a chance to redeem her mistakes. Give your relationship one more chance. She is your mother." Teju looked at him. karan gave her a soft look and suggested her to go for it. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath and went inside.

They were waiting for her mother to come. After a few minutes she came. Her mother had tears in her eyes. She started sobbing the minute she saw teju. Teju on the other hand, was silent. Karan looked at the awkwardness they hold. He tried to excuse himself so that they could talk but Teju held his hand.

"You don't have to leave. I want you to stay here...please."
Karan assured her he will be here.
Teju moved towards her mom. She tried to hug Teju but Teju asked her
"Why? Why did you have to kill him? You were already so far from me. You never gave me any attention. You left me alone...and now when I wanted you needed you the most...you are still away from me...why? "
"I am sorry...baccha....I am sorry...I was blinded by that fraud. I didn't realize...I pushed away my daughter...my own flesh and blood....my lifeline. Please forgive me baccha 🙏"
"Why did you leave me?"
" I am so sorry....I know my apology won't make your past better. I know my apology is worthless now....but still I want redemption....even if I have to be hanged to death...I would be happy that I am doing it for you. "
"Just stop it ok.... You left me here never cared for me...never loved me...and out if no where...when I was finally happy here...you had to come here as well....and chalo maan liya ap aa bhi gaye...uske baad bhi you are not here...I will not forgive you so easily. "
"It's ok beta...take your time. Tumhara hak hai mujhse naraz hone ka. Par tum chinta mat karo...agar mai bahar agyi na...to mai tumhe vo sara pyar dungi jo tum mujhse chahti thi..jo ek maa apne bacche ko deti hai. "

Inspector came and told that the visiting time is over now. They were taking Parul back in the cell when she heard a voice.

"I need you with me Maa"

Parul just looked back and ran and hugged Teju. Even Teju couldn't resist and hugged her back. They both had tears in their eyes.
"I'll come back to you soon. Don't worry beta. I'll make up for every ounce of mistake I have committed. "

Parul was taken by the police. Teju fell down on the floor. Karan immediately came to her and made her sit on the bench. Teju kept her head on his shoulders and Karan hugged her and wiped her tears. And brought her home.
