Revenge

Teju went home. Her nanu was waiting for her at home.

"Teju ,how was your day beta?"
"It was good nanu. I survived the day and I actually enjoyed it. I made two friends Sam and Amy. They were there with me the entire time. Also, tomorrow I have dance trials for the college team. "
"That's great. I know you will do great. Come let's have lunch. I have made you your favourite prawns and rice"
"Ok." (This was the first time she was not excited hearing about her favourite food.)

They had lunch and Teju went into her room had some rest and then started practicing for her trials.  She selected the song "Sun Sathiya".
She practiced a little and had her dinner and came to her room to see a text from Sam . She had created a whatsapp group  of Teju, sam and amy.
Hey teju, whatsup .
Excited for tom? -sam

She will definitely crack it.
We'll be there to cheer for you. -Amy

She replied
                           Hi, practiced a bit.
                           Thank you guyz for        cheering me up . -Teju

Love you babe. -sam

Goodnight all. See you tom.- amy

Somewhere teju was happy to have two people who were with her without even knowing her past. Thats what friends do...they stand with you without any conditions. She was lucky in this case.

The next morning, Teju reached college early and Sam took her to the auditorium for her final practice. Teju practiced for half an hour. And while leaving Avika entered with her girl gang.
Avika was like Tanya from Student of he year- mean, egoistic, opportunist and selfish. She was obsessed with Karan and dance. She glared at Teju with her sharp green eyes. Teju didn't notice her and went back for her lecture.
They had two lectures. And after that they had their trials.
During break, everybody collected near auditorium to cheer for their favourites. Karan too was their unwillingly to support Avika. Sam and Amy were their to support Teju. Karan already knew Teju was performing but he didn't give any heed to her.
Soon after, the performances started,
It was Avika's turn, she selected the song
"Khwab dekhe jhuthe muthe"
She danced on it very nicely.

Next and last was Teju's turn, she came on the stage a little nervous but she knew she had to overcome it and give it her best. So she closed her eyes, took a deep breath and said ,"Ganpati bappa morya"  and started. The moment she started grooving every single person was mesmerized. She danced perfectly like a poetry, like a water flowing in the river, smooth as butter and gracious as a butterfly. Even Karan forgot some time that he actually came to cheer for Avika. Avika on the other hand, was fuming in red seeing everybody's reaction. She was not liking the fact that Teju is getting so much attention. But she couldn't do anything.
Teju finished her last steps and came back to the backstage. Now the results were ready and only one person had to be selected from among eight participants. The result was easy for the seniors. It was Teju. Yes she is finally into the college dance team.
Sam and Amy ran towards her and hugged her tightly.
She was very happy. But Avika on the other hand was very upset and angry. She was not ready to believe the fact that someone else was better than her. She came out of the room and Karan and dane followed her.

"Avi, avi....wait"
"What do you want Karan?"
"Avi its ok... it's just a competition. You don't have to be so upset."
"Yeah right...it was just a competition...but it was not just a competition karan...I wanted it badly, desperately, but that chic won."
"Avi...plzz...calm down..
Avika saw Teju coming from behind. She went toward her,

"Hey you....what do you think of youself huh...?"
"Are you talking to me?"
"Yes, i am... You won that doesn't mean you are better than me. You are nowhere near me."
"Chill It was just a competition. Why are you so hyper about it. "
"Just shut the fuck up you fucking slut. Don't you dare to ask me to chill..ok"
Teju had enough, she couldn't let anybody walk over her self respect.
"I will..."
"Huh?"
"I will dare to talk or say whatever I want to say. You have no right no audacity to slut shame me. You dont know me, and I don't even intend to let you know me neither do I have any interest in knowing you. You kjow what, the day you stop being so slef obsessed will be the day you will actually start putting your heart iut to what you do. I saw your dance, it was no where near to perfect. You need to learn so much about techniques and rythm. Take my advice, learn how to dance first and then abuse people. "

.....and she left from their.
Avika was now more in anger. Karan was just looking at what happened. Avika has always been a bully in school and nobody had the courage to speak against her but this girl just put her in her right place.
Avika went home and locked herself in her room. Avika's mom called Karan at 8 in the night.
"Hello, Karan"
"Namaste aunty"
"Beta...Please come hime fast"
"What happened is everything alright. You  seem tensed"
"Beta avika has locked herself in the room. Its been 5 hours now. Please come home. I am scared. What if something happens like the last time. Please "
"Okk dont worry i am coming right now."

Karan reaches Avika's home.

Knocks at dior.
"Avi...ooen the door please....see its me"
"Avi open beta "

Avika opens the door and says,
"I just want to speak to Karan right now mom."
"Ok you both talk and I'll prepare the dinner "

Karan saw that Avika was in a miserable state.
"What have you dine to yourself? What kind of a childish behaviour is this?"
"Karan, I know you don't love me anymore. I think you never even loved me. It was just infatuation and that has ended long back. So stop pretending like you care. "
"What are you saying?"
"Karan I'll back off from this relationship, I'll talk to my parents that it was my decision to break up, only on one condition"
"What....what condition?"
"You have to trap Tejasswi in your sweet talks and betray her once she falls in love with you."
"What...are you mad ..? What has happened to you huh...?"
"I am crazy karan....if you don't do this... I'll do something with her after which that girl won't be able to dance for ever. So it's your choice...whether you betray her and she goes back to normal within a month or two or I revenge her and I will make sure she loses everything she has. "
" Avika you have gone mad....its not such a big deal.  Listen, please listen to me ....sit here....see... Leave that girl....you dont have to stoop so low. "
"Karan the decision is yours. I want your answer in an hour.  You can leave now. "

Karan had nothing to say in this matter. He knew Avika very closely. He knows she would do what she said. He didn't want to hurt someone but it was the only option he had. Although he saw a great opportunity in getting away from this relationship with Avika...he knew somebody innocent had to pay the price.  But somewhere his heart was not allowing him to do so wrong with Teju. He had to choose between his best friend and an unknown innocent girl. He knew his friend was totally wrong and irrational this time. So he knew what he had to do.
He went home and messaged Avika

Hey, i know you are hurt but I can't help you. It is wrong. I can't hurt an innocent person. But if you still feel you are right and you still feel you want to hurt her ..... I'll be standing in fron of her. I can't let you do wrong to somebody who is completely innocent.

Thats it. He sent it. He chose to do the right thing. But he knew now Avika would be more ruthless than ever and in order to safeguard Tejasswi from her vile actions, he will have to know her better. He will have to be friends with her. Only then he would be able to save her. With so many thoughts and confusions, karan went to sleep.
