Enigma

Mishap or Mischief?

The break got over. They had two more lectures and everybody went home. Karan dropped Teju home in his bike. She asked him to come in for some chae and snack. He agreed as he wanted to meet nanu as well. Nanu was sitting their in the living room. He received Karan with a warm hug. Karan touched his feet and he blessed him. They sat their and teju went to prepare chae for them.
"Ap dono bethiye...aj mai chae banati hu "
"Tu banaegi?...ni mtlb...acchi baat hai...bana le beta"

After some time she came out with chae and biscuits. She saw nanu and karan playing fifa. They were bonding really well and that made her very happy.

"Chai is ready..."
They took a sip. The chai was really delicious. After having tea, and some talks with Karan, nanu excused himself and told Teju that...he has to leave in an hour for Delhi.
"Teju, mujhe kuch der me Delhi nikalna hoga"
"Par kyu Nanu achanak se ese..."
"Haa beta...Mera kuch passport se related kaam baki hai...mai ek do din me vapas ajaunga. Par kya tum do din akele handle karlogi?"
"Nanu....apka jana zruri hai kya?"
Seeing them, karan said in between.
"Umm....mai keh raha tha ki ap apna kaam kar ke aiye nanu. Teju ka dhyan rakhne ke liye hum sab hai yha. Sam hai Mai hu mere parents hai. Ise koi dikkat ni hogi. "
"Thanks beta....time bohot kharab chal rha h islie mai thoda dar raha tha par mujhe pura yakin h ki tum log sambhal loge. Mai jata hu packing karne agli bus pakad lunga. Tum dono baate kro. Teju zara ek minute meri baat sunna"
"Ji nanu...btaiye "
"Ladka bohot accha hai beta."
"Kya matlab apka... mai samjhi nahi?"
"Beta....mujhse chupane ki koi zrurt ni h... I'll be the last person standing in between both of you.  Ar mujhe genuinely Karan bohot pasand hai. "
Saying this he went inside his room to pack. Teju just stood there, and blushed hard. She recollected herself and went back to Karan. She wanted to party tonight. So she insisted Karan.
"Karan..."
"Kya hua sweety?"
"Karan....mujhe aj bahar jana hai"
"Accha to chalte h na...ghum k ate hai"
"Are...ese ni na ...like proper party. Do you know, about Aditya's house party?"
"Yeah he invited all the classmates. But why are you asking?"
"To hum bhi chalte h na....mai ghar pe vese bhi bore ho jaungi. "
" Accha thik hai chalenge. Par pehle mai nanu ko bus stop chor ke aunga tum tab tak ready rehna fir ham mere ghar chalenge....vaha mai change karunga fir "
"Okk..sorted.... I'll ask Sam and Amy also to come. Maza aega na..."
"But no drinks... Aditya ki party is famous for drugs and booze. Ham vaha sirf party karenge not drinks not drugs. Promise?"
"Haa haa promise. Mai bohot good girl hu baby"
Karan couldn't believe her words. He wanted to listen it one more time.
"Kya bola...?"
Teju was confused at what she said.
"Mai bohot good girl hu....kya hua? Kuch galat bola kya?"
"Ni ni...uske baad kya bola ...."
Teju realised what she said in flow.
"Kya bola mene...kuch bhi to nahi"
She started blushing.
"Dekh sweety...tu mujhe bol sakti hai baby...mai boyfriend hu tera. Sharma mat "
"Okk Babyy...🙈 Nanu agye shayad. Unka bag leke ati hu"
She heard her nanu's footsteps ..so she got the escape and ran from there.
Karan was in awe of her. He was admiring her from top to toe. He was falling more n more in love with her actions and the person she is. Later, Karan dropped nanu to the bus stop and picked Teju and reached his home. Teju was wearing a sleeveless midi dress with a denim jacket on top. They reached his home and karan took her inside. His mother was in the kitchen...so he called her and said
"Maa...maaa....dekho kon aya hai"
"Are ku chilla raha hai karan...kon aya h (seeing teju she stopped and said) Are....Teju...."
"Namaste Aunty...vo actually...hume ek friend ki party pe jana tha islie mai agyi yaha..."
"Are to isme mujhe explaination ku de rhi h...ye tera hi ghar hai jab man tab ajao.. ar tu isko chor...tera jab bhi ghar ka khana khane ka man kare...ya iski shikayat karne ka man kare....you know the address 😉"
"Cool...mai sach bolu...."
"Haa haa bindass"
"Mujhe na thoda thoda dar lag rha tha apse milne se pehle....par ab na mai ekdum frank ho sakti hu...ap bhi ekdm chill ho hehehe"
All started laughing.
"Oye...tu idhar khada ku hai ..ja jake ready ho...jana ni h kya...ya bas ise dekhta hi rahega.  "
"Mammi yaar...ye kya ....mai ja raha hu"
Both karan and Teju blushed at this.
Teju and his mom spoke and laughed and had so much to talk. It didn't feel like they were meeting for the first time. Teju remembered her mother for once. She thought in her mind
Kash meri bhi mamma bilkul esi hi hoti...sweet, simple, loving to kitna accha hota. Mai unse sab share karti. Apni life ki problems achievements sab kuch.

"Kidhar kho gayi?"
"Haa...ni vo mai...bas...mai "
"Accha accha... it's ok...take your time. Accha tu ye bata...next kab aarhi hai...mai tere liye mere hath ka khana banaungi. "
"Bohot jald. Maa ke hath ke khane ki khushi to mai bhul hi chuki hu...par ab mujhe jald hi ana hoga. Thank you aunty. "
"Beta...par...
"Teju...chale ..mai ready hu..."
"Haa..."
"Maa...ham chalte hai bohot late ho gaya hai byee....take care.. dad ko sambhal lena please. "
"Tum dono jao enjoy karo dono...teju ka khayal rakhna."

They went to the party. Everybody was present there- Sam, Dane, Amy, Kritika, Avika and all of their friends. It was a huge party. Aditya was the son of one of the most popular builders of Dehradun. This place was their newly constructed farmhouse, hence the party.

Sam came and greeted them.
"Hii..."
"Hii "
"What took you both so long...how was it?"
"What was how?"
"Vahi jis vajah se tujhe itna time lag gaya?"
"Chee...are you mad? Sam tu kya bol rahi hai yarr. "
" Accha thik hai I won't tease you more....chal let's dance."

Teju removed her jacket and pulled karan for a dance. Karan and Teju started dancing. They were too close to each other. Their proximity was increasing, so was someone's jealousy. Yes, it was Avika. She was blinded by the hatred she had towards Tejasswi. She just wanted to humiliate her by some way or the other. She entered the crowd while dancing. She reached closer to her and without anyone's notice.... She unzipped her dress....and now it was loose. Tejasswi understood what had happened. She started panicking. With tears in her eyes she looked at Karan.
"Karannn"
"What happened baby...why are you crying?"
"Karan somebody unzipped my dress"
"Whatt...oh shitt....I am so..sorry "

He held her dress with one hand. Pulled her hair back. Removed his jacket and quickly made her wear it. She was relieved now. Karan called Sam and took her aside and fixed her dress. By this time,Teju was disheartened but was not worried as she thought it might be just an accident. They joined the party and were about to leave for home as Teju was not in the right state of mind.
They were about to just leave...when karan and Teju's phone pinged. They realised it was just not them but the entire crowd had a notification on their phone. Everybody started gossiping and giving Teju a pitiful look. Karan opened the video and saw that it was Teju's video where her dress got unzipped. It was evident that somebody did it sanely.
Karan was fuming in anger but Teju was in tears. She was humiliated. Everybody was lookimg at her with pity and sympathy. She ran out of the party. So did Karan trying to stop her. Sam ran after her too.
"Teju...stop....where are you going"
"Karan..I don't want to stay here anymore.... It's getting difficult for me to breath here. "
"I know... we'll go from here. We'll go to your house. But listen to me, it's ok...it was not your fault. And it's completely fine and normal. But yes, the person who did that, i swear, will pay for it. But you don't have to be ashamed of it. It was not your fault. Do you understand?"
"But... Everybody will make a joke of it now. I'll be their hot topic of discussion now." Saying this she sobbed and put her head on his chest. He hugged her tightly and calmed her by patting her head softly. Sam was their, rubbing her back. She was crying too, seeing her in this state. She said
"He is right Teju. Nobody will make fun of it, if you don't give them the power to. "
Teju looked at her.
"Yes Teju....you have to be strong and you have to show them that it's not something to be ashamed of...somebody who did this shameful act out of whatever... should be ashamed not you. And we are there with you. I won't leave the person who's behind this disgusting act. "
Teju nodded and wiped her tears. She wanted to go home. Sam offered to stay with her tonight. Karan also offered to stay there. They went to Teju's house to stay the night.
