Joshua's mother died when he was barely fifteen, and his father was as devastated as his son at first, but a few years later he met a woman and it didn't take him long to marry her. For Joshua, this was a betrayal, especially as he didn't love this woman, let alone his two daughters. Although women have never done him any harm, the situation quickly changed when the father of the family died. Joshua found himself alone, with all these women making his life a living hell.

Tonight, as he was in his room doing the women's linen, he heard noises against the front door, discreetly he opened his own door and saw a man dressed in beautiful clothes holding a sheet of paper in his hand, from what he heard the prince of the kingdom organize a ball to find his lover and everyone is invited, Joshua smile dreamily, even though he knew he had no chance with the prince he dreamt of getting out of his room and seeing the world just a little bit.

So that's what he decides to do, once he's finished ironing the women's clothes and they're off to the kingdom, he prepares a bag and puts the best possible clothes inside, then given that he doesn't have a key to get out of his house he decides to jump out of his window, fortunately for him it's not high, so his feet quickly touch the ground without any problem, once everything's ready he starts running towards the royal palace.

Once near the palace, he hides in an alley and changes completely, never having felt so handsome. His father's clothes fit him perfectly, and when he puts the last object around his neck, he feels invincible, as if he had both his parents with him, so it's with extreme determination that the young man goes to the castle.

Now that he's in front of the door, he's feeling stressed, but he tells himself that he hasn't done all this for nothing, so he enters the palace and makes his way timidly towards the main hall. He quickly spots his two supposed sisters waving to the prince, who doesn't seem interested, but Joshua feels his stress rise a second time when his gaze meets that of the prince.

" What are you doing here ? You don't belong to be here."

" Get lost. You're such a moron, did you really think someone like you was going to interest the Prince ? "

His two so-called sisters laugh at him and push him away, the young man sighs and lets it happen, he backs away little by little and finally his back ends up meeting an unfamiliar body, slowly he raises his eyes and his gaze meets the prince's, Joshua quickly apologizes and tries to move away but the older man holds him against him.

" Will you dance with me ? "

Joshua freezes, he knows exactly what this means and he doesn't know if he's capable of doing such a thing, shyly he manages to get the prince to let go of him and slowly he turns to the older man, who smiles warmly at him and this reassures him inside. He quickly feels the prince's hands come to rest on his hips, shyly letting his hands come to knot behind the prince's neck.

" Let me guide you, okay ? Just dance with me. Let go of your stress, forget my title and relax."

" Hm, let's just dance together prince Jeonghan."

" Call me Jeonghan without prince. May I have your first name ? "

" My name is Joshua.."

Jeonghan smiles more, and as they dance, the two men begin to talk and get to know each other, the conversations flowing slowly, the chemistry is so intense that the two boys feel as if they've known each other for years, not just a few minutes.

When the music stops, Jeonghan doesn't let go of Joshua; on the contrary, he even draws him against him and gives him a warm embrace, which makes the younger smile and blush at the same time.

" Can you do one thing for me, please ? "

" Tell me, what is it ? "

" Give me back my hug."

Joshua chuckles slightly and this makes Jeonghan smile, the older boy feels the boy's two hands on his back and this makes him sigh with happiness, after about ten seconds the two boys finally let go anyway and then the prince turns to his father, the latter seems to have understood so he nods.

" Do you want to stay with me here ? "

" Can I do that ? I'm not a prince, I have no title of nobility. I'm just a villager."

" I don't care about your title, I feel like you're going to be able to make me happy and that's all that matters to me, Joshua."

" I'm willing to stay here and really try to make you happy then Jeonghan."

Jeonghan begins to chuckle lightly, he runs one of his hands through the youngest's soft hair and the latter begins to blush even more, he feels the hate-filled gaze of his sisters on him but he doesn't care, he feels safe and above all at his place here in the prince's arms. After a few moments, the prince stopped his steps and Joshua stopped too. The older boy looked towards his father, who smiled.

" Father, I've found my heart's desire, it's impossible for me to let such a precious pearl go away from me. "

" I'm happy for you, son. I want to know him too. "

Jeonghan starts to smile and nods and then his father nods too, the prince grabs the youngest's hand and pulls him along, together they arrive outside the royal palace and Jeonghan invites the youngest to follow him, so Joshua does, the two of them eventually arrive in a beautiful place, a small garden filled with flowers and in the middle of it there's a little fountain, the water from it rises and falls and it makes Joshua smile.

The two boys approach it hand in hand, and once they're in front of it, Jeonghan plunges his hand into the water and pulls it out to spray the younger boy. Joshua shields himself with his free hand and starts giggling, Jeonghan smile and then after a few moments he stops, lets go of the younger boy's hand and comes to rest both his hands on the smaller boy's cheeks instead.

" Joshua, can I kiss you ? "

" That means..."

" Yes, I want it to be you and only you, the person who will have the opportunity to accompany me to the royal palace as my love."

Joshua smiles, nods and closes his eyes slowly, Jeonghan takes this as a green light and places his mouth on Joshua's, the kiss is soft and restful and the only witness to their budding love are the stars that light up this dark night, after a few seconds Jeonghan pulls back and looks at the younger man with tenderness.

" I assure you I'm going to take care of you."

" I'll try to make you as happy as possible."

" I think just knowing that your presence is near mine is going to make me happy every second."

" You're such a sweet talker you know that."

" Does it touch your heart ? "

" Hm, it's going to take a little more time before I trust you completely, but I think we're on the right way."

" We'll take our time, don't worry, marriage isn't around the corner."

Joshua starts laughing and so does Jeonghan, the younger man is really happy to be out of the house even without the agreement of the people he loves the least, because now he has love and happiness by his side and that's all he wanted to find again after the death of his parents.
