The snow falls softly against the window of the Yoon house, all is white and it's truly splendid, Jeonghan stands watching the flakes, a soft smile appears at the corners of his lips and it becomes even more pronounced when his little boy clings to him, the blond looks towards his child and gently strokes his son's hair while continuing to watch the snow outside. After ten minutes or so, Jeonghan's husband finally joins him and their child, and the three of them stare outside in comfortable silence.

However, this is cut short by the sound of a beeping microwave. The child jumps up and down, shaking his father's pants to get him to fetch what's inside the microwave: it's his hot chocolate, and he wants it.

" Daddy, can we go get my drink ? Please."

" Sweetheart, ask Papa, I'd like to stay here."

" Hm, oh ! I've got an idea, can we build an igloo outside, please ? "

" Where did you get the idea to build an igloo, sweetie ? "

" When it's spring we build a tree house, so in winter we can build an igloo."

The little boy's eyes sparkle, he's really excited about his idea, and Joshua arrives just then, having slipped away to fetch the hot chocolate, he arrives at his two loves' side, hands a cup to his son and one to his husband and asks what's going on. Nick tells his new man about his idea, and Joshua turns to Jeonghan, who shrugs his shoulders. He's not even sure the snow will hold to create this igloo, but on reflection he thinks it might be a good memory to make something new.

So without even exchanging a word, Joshua understands that his husband is finally accepting their son's proposal, so the three of them get dressed to go outside and once they're ready, they leave home and Nick goes straight out to make an angel in the snow, Jeonghan and Joshua giggle and they settle down on the ground, trying to build the igloo their child had asked for.

Then, all of a sudden, they both feel a presence at their backs, the two lovers turn and see their dog, the two boys smile and then they see their son get up to come and play with the animal.

" We really do have a nice little family."

" Hm, I'm really proud of it, to have you by my side, to have Nick by our side and to have our little puppy with us is the most beautiful feeling. "

" You can think of Nick as your son now, Shuji-ya. He's been thinking of you as his papa all this time."

" As long as he doesn't call me as such and always calls me by my first name I can't consider myself to be his mother figure, I agree to be whatever he wants."

Jeonghan feels sad, for him it's Joshua who made Nick grow up, him and nobody else, the little boy grew up with Jeonghan and his ex until he was three but that's it but after that he grew up with Joshua, most of his memories he's to create with Joshua.

" Papa ! "

Joshua pauses for a moment, before he can regain his composure, Nick settles on his legs and gives him a hug, Jeonghan smiles and Joshua feels tears welling up in his eyes.

" Do you need anything sweetie ? "

" We're out building an igloo and we're not doing it, we can do it."

" We've got work to do so we might as well get started now. "

Nick nods and pulls away from Joshua's legs, Joshua smiles beatifically and Jeonghan lightly nips his cheek, the younger boy squeals and pulls away from his husband, Jeonghan returns to his side and grabs him by the hips, sticking his lover to him and placing kisses on his cheek, Joshua giggles and finally turns his head towards his eldest and it collides their lips, the kiss is as soft as snow, and the moment is as idyllic as the outside.

" Daddy, Papa ! Please."

" You'd rather see your two parents love each other than have them yell at each other, wouldn't you ? "

" Sure, it's better. Because with Mom it was always fight after fight. Unbearable. "

" Do you remember that when you were only two, three years old ? "

" Hm, I even remember that you divorced her because she was violent, it was the day she tried to hit me that you said stop."

" You have a good memory, but I hope you'll erase them."

" It's unforgettable, I can't erase them but replace them with wonderful memories, anyway since you've been with papa, all my memories are wonderful. And you're happy, you don't smile out of obligation but out of envy."

" I can't believe you're really six, I must have missed years in your growth."

" Papa made me grow up. We talked and exchanged so much that he made me understand a lot of things. He deserves to be called Papa from now on, and I'm going to call you that all the time ! "

The two adults start to laugh, Nick returns to cuddle his parents and they return the embrace to their child, the dog's barking makes them stop this sweet moment, Nick goes off to play with the animal while the two lovers position themselves comfortably back in the snow, Jeonghan gently runs her hand down her lover's back while he rests his head on his lover's shoulder, slowly they see the sun setting, they find the horizon just as perfect as the moment.

" I never thought you'd chat with Nick."

" For him to accept me, I had no choice. At first he didn't like me, and that was normal, he started life with a mom and dad and then overnight I turn up and become his mom. In the mind of a little boy his age, this situation must seriously be incomprehensible. "

" How did you do it ? "

" I spoke softly, using simple words and a gentle, soothing voice. I calmly explained things to him, and it was on a night that seemed like any other that he explained everything to me. The repeated arguments between you and your former partner. The beatings, the violence, the cheating, he witnessed it all and was traumatized."

" Did he really tell you everything in great detail ? "

" I swore to him I'd be the psychologist he needed, he really needed a reference point, he needed someone to empty his little heart and he didn't want to do it with you so he did it with me."

" In all this unhappiness, he found his light, just as I did. You arrived when he and I least expected it, but you've been a source of joy and escape for both of us. You're the best person everyone dreams of having."

Joshua sighs to stop himself from crying, but he ends up shedding a small tear anyway, he feels happy and in his place, he feels loved, his family is his greatest achievement in his eyes and Jeonghan for his part thinks exactly the same, having his eyes set on his son playing with their dog, he feels so good, he's found the right person the one who loves him to the full, the one who helps him, He's found the perfect person to raise and care for Nick, he's happy to have risen alongside such a person, he doesn't regret being married to Joshua, he regrets not having known him sooner, but he tells himself that he came at one of the worst moments of his life precisely to make it better, and he's eternally grateful.

Even if the idea of making an igloo wasn't finalized, the afternoon was still so full of emotion and so relaxing that even if their main objective wasn't achieved, it doesn't matter. All that matters is how happy they are.
