Zaidh gently took Keira's hand as they stepped out of the hotel. Keira remained silent, her thoughts racing with curiosity about where Zaidh might be leading her.
"Hold on tight," Zaidh whispered, pulling Keira closer as he bent his knees slightly.
Before Keira could ask what he was doing, Zaidh shot forward with astonishing speed, leaving her breathless. The world around them blurred into a whirlwind of colors, and Keira instinctively shut her eyes.
After a few moments, they stopped. Keira slowly opened her eyes, disoriented and unsure of what to expect. As her surroundings came into focus, she realized where Zaidh had brought her and gasped softly.
"Why on earth did you bring me to Las Vegas?" Keira asked, stunned.
"You'll like it here," Zaidh replied with a knowing smirk. Without another word, they made their way to Caesar's Palace.
The moment they entered, a woman at the reception desk spotted Zaidh and immediately greeted him with a warm hug. Keira remained to stand by the entrance, watching them with a curious gaze. It was clear they knew each other well, and the woman kept peppering Zaidh with questions.
"What happened?" she asked, concerned not allowing Zaidh to explain why all of them were suddenly turned into humans.
Then, as if remembering Keira was also there, Zaidh turned and gestured for Keira to join them. The woman's eyes flicked to Keira, and a spark of excitement spread across her face.
"Well, at least you've found yourself a really beautiful partner," Victoria remarked, her eyes narrowing as she scanned Keira with a suspicious gaze. "My name is Victoria."
"We're not together," Zaidh replied quickly.
"He is not my partner," Keira added, almost at the same time, their voices overlapping in an awkward harmony.
Victoria's grin widened, her eyes flicking between them with amusement.
"So, hybrids bite each other without getting bonded?" she teased, her gaze lingering on the bite marks that adorned both Zaidh and Keira.
"Mind your own business," Keira snapped sharply, causing Victoria to raise her brows in surprise.
"Well then," Victoria said with a sly smile, taking a step back. "I'll let him know you're here. You know where to go."
Zaidh nodded, and they slipped out of the crowded hotel. Once again, he took Keira's hand, and without a word, they began to run, the world blurring around them in a rush of wind and light.
They finally stopped in front of a magnificent mansion. Keira could feel and also hear that beyond the tall iron fence there were a lot of people hanging around. They approached the entrance, and two guards stepped forward, their expressions shifting from vigilance to familiarity when they saw Zaidh.
"Look who's back in town," one of the guards chuckled, removing his sunglasses to get a better look.
"Missed me?" Zaidh replied with a grin, pulling the guard into a quick, brotherly hug.
The guard laughed, but his expression soon turned serious.
"Elias has been wondering when you'd show up. Everyone is going crazy after what happened."
He glanced around cautiously before opening the door for them. "Come in."
Zaidh led Keira inside, and they were immediately engulfed by the lively atmosphere. The mansion was alive with an enormous party, music echoing off the walls as people danced and laughed. Keira's eyes widened as she recognized a few celebrities mingling among the crowd.
