"Hello, Keira." I saind and slowly stood up. I felt a bit nervous, but I had to remain calm and explain to her what was going on.

I had planned every detail of what I would say when she woke up, but now my mind was blank. I knew her well enough to expect she wouldn't sit quietly after waking up in an unfamiliar place with a stranger. Yet here I was, standing speechless, staring at her with the same confused look she gave me.

"What's going on? Who are you?" She looked all over the place and concentrated her gaze towards me. Her eyes scanned my body suspiciously.

"Don't freak out too much," I bit the inside of my lip.

I was never good at explaining complicated things, and this situation is already complicated. She probably thinks I kidnapped her, which I did. Keira seemed freaked out, but she remained somewhat calm. She knew that in such a situation, it is probably better to remain calm because she wasn't sure why I brought her here. Perhaps she thinks that Cade is involved in this and that I took her as a hostage.

"You kidnapped me?" She jumped up from the bed and snapped her brows in confusion when she looked back to where she had been lying. "Believe me, you will regret this."

Keira stood in front of me, seemingly unaware of how quickly she had just moved. After a moment, she headed straight for the door. I immediately blocked her way by gently grasping her shoulders, causing her to furrow her brows in frustration. Keira didn't appear frightened; rather, she seemed annoyed that I had interrupted her.

"You better keep your hands away from me, mate." My movements caught her attention when she realized that I moved faster than an ordinary human. "How did you get here so quickly?"

"The same way you did."

"You will have problems if you don't let me go now." She lowered her voice and gazed around. "Do you even know who I am?"

I laughed in my head because I knew her better than anyone else . I know that I am going to have problems, but it is only because of her stubborn personality.

She has the same tendency to complicate matters and is as stubborn as her father was. If Keira decides on anything, she will achieve her goal no matter the cost. That is why I had to alter her memories of us because she would not have let me go so easily. I felt bad about hiding the truth from her, but bringing all of her memories back at once would confuse her even more.

Not to mention that there are certain memories that should stay hidden because Keira probably wouldn't agree to stay with me after witnessing them.

What is strange about vampires is that their personality and attitudes as humans become even more pronounced after they are turned. That I why I'm slightly concerned about Keira. As a human, she was already impulsive and domineering, so I fear how her personality might manifest as a vampire.

Keira reminded me of Zaidh. My brother always had such a strong and haughty attitude that it was nearly impossible to do anything with him, which is why we hardly speak to each other. This is  why I never allowed Zaidh to train Keira or get close to her, especially after Oracle mentioned the possibility of their paths crossing. Back then, I didn't care about Keira as much as I did now, so I dismissed it. But since Nashville, I have been protecting her from Zaidh. Together, they would be a formidable and dangerous team. Not just to humans, but to everyone.

"I'm talking to you." Her voice brought me back from my thoughts.

She needs to remember what happened, and I need to explain to her that she is now a vampire. This will be the most challenging part, as I have no idea whether she will accept the truth or lose control of her emotions.
