Please I need honest feedbacks and I hope you enjoy the story❤️Arianna Carlos was like any other girl on the street. She had a low paying job and expenses which consumed all her pay before it even landed in her account. So in summary, she was living the American dream.
It was a little past noon and she was on her way home. Thinking of what to do with her free time, she considered taking another part time job but shook off the idea because of the instability of her job.
In college, Arianna had a lot of big dreams. Graduate, get a job at a large agency, meet the joker to her harlequin, get married, and spend her life occasionally travelling the world. But her genie only granted her two wishes. She did graduate, and was slapped awake to reality as her second wish.
She worked as a consultant therapist which meant she was called by people who came across her unattractive fliers laid across New york city to listen to their problems, shake her head, and occasionally taking notes. She tightened her grip on her bag as she awaited the train.
"Excuse me, this is you right?" a man in a long black coat with dark shades held out her flier. She wondered if he chose to wear that under the blazing sun, or was threatened at gun point.
"Of course! Do you wish to book an appointment?" good bye free time she sang in her head.
"Can we talk somewhere more private?" he said scanning the busy station.
"Sure let's sit over there" she led him to one of the free benches "Please lets settle the date fast I have a client waiting" by client she meant her train because she didn't have money for a cab.
"I intend to, will you be interested in working fully? Please answer with yes or no"
"What? How can I answer that without any details?" he signed and scribbled down something on a notepad Arianna didn't know when he got out.
"Let me rephrase the question, we will pay you a hundred dollars per day to personally offer your services. Yes or no?"
"Yes" her mouth had moved before her brain. Everything about this was shady, man in black, offering a large about of money to someone who can't turn it down, zero background information it definitely checks everything that makes a horror movie but the part of the person not been able to turn it down was valid as well.
"Great! Come to this address tomorrow by ten AM sharp and dress presentable" he said scanning her disapprovingly. Arianna wasn't at all offended by this. Standing up he strolled from her to a black Mercedes awaiting him.
Walking down the street to her home Arianna couldn't find a way to convince herself that there wasn't anything suspicious about a man who even after speaking to, she had no way to identify him, offering her a job where she would earn in a day what she wouldn't in two months.
"There is nothing to worry about. Maybe the universe has finally acknowledged my skills and I do deserve this opportunity" she thought aloud to herself earning a few stares from passerby.
Shutting her door as slowly as possible to avoid waking up her grandmother who lived next door, Arianna lay flat on her bed fully dressed, staring at the beat up ceiling.
"I shouldn't get my hopes up" she took out the card out of her bag and read the address, her heart leapt when she realized it was a valid estate and not an an abandoned junkyard
"Well that's a good sign"
Whatever happens, I don't have anything to lose after all her stomach rumbling, she drifted to sleep.

If it wasn't for a bird that collided with Arianna's window waking her up, she would have slept till noon and miss her once in a lifetime opportunity which, she claim she well deserved. Shooting out of bed she stared wide eyes at the clock on her bedside table.
9:29 A.M how lovely.
This meant she had thirty minutes to disappear "looking presentable" and appear at her supposed new job. Throwing off all she had on she jumped into the tub and turned on the shower, she yelped as the freezing cold water hit her skin. She brushed her teeth and washed her hair at the same time.
"Dress presentable... dress presentable.." she chanted while scanning her wardrobe. Although she hoped to work at a fancy agency, her choice of clothing didn't share her dreams. Dragging on black tights, she threw on a plaid black and white gown which dropped to her knee. It had long sleeves and a low neck. Pulling her hair in a high ponytail she combed her bangs and let them fall over her eye. Applying a little bit of mascara and lip gloss, she slipped on white flats, grabbed her bag and documents which she had kept arranged for 'the special day' and dashed out.
"Bye Abuela I'm leaving early!"
Running down to the station Arianna looked at her watch
9:35 A.M
"I guess I should have spent more time on my hair" she arrived at the station immediately the train arrived. She was grateful she didn't spend more time on her hair. Settling into seat she decided to check her document and make sure she was ready. Between her doubt and fear that she was about to sell her soul to an evil wizard, she felt nervous. If this was real then this was the moment she has been waiting for all her life. She just couldn't mess it up.
At ten minutes to ten, Arianna was walking towards her destination. It was a clean path which she taught was weird considering the fact it was lined with trees and there wasn't a single leaf fallen out of place. As she approached the house, she decided she should look around as much as she could in case of extreme situations when she will need an escape route.
It was a moderate townhome which as surrounded by low grass, a hut and small garden by the side. You could tell it was owned by someone rich but modest. The house was painted light blue and the windows were long and painted a dark shade of blue hanging close to the ground.
"I can jump out of the without getting hurt". She noticed a window unlike the others was shut with black blinds. Must be the store, She thought.
In the far corner was a large garage which could hold about five cars. The black Mercedes of her mysterious man was parked out front. She was in the right place. Before she could creep around more, the front door was pushed open and an elderly woman dressed like she was she was from peaky blinders smiled at her warmly.
"You must be Miss Arianna, Madam has been expecting you" she spoke like she was from peaky blinder too Arianna thought. She wondered if it was intentional.
Memorizing which path let to the gate, Arianna walked into to the house the kind elderly lady behind her. The inside was like the outside, spotless. Arianna could swear she saw tiny stars glimmering on the emerald tiles. The couches were the brightest shade of white and when the lady offered her a seat Arianna thought about when she should be expecting her period and hoped it wasn't anytime soon.
"Wait here I will inform the madam of your arrival"
Her nerves were coming to her and she began fidgeting with her fingers which would have been called a habit if she had been in this situation a lot of times.
She felt so out of place wearing black in such a bright house she was thankful for her white flats. She began to wonder if she actually deserved to work for someone who lived here. Everything was so perfect and figured out. Was she here to be mocked? Rejected and thrown back to the street? Was this a mistake? Did they have the wrong person? There was no way they would employ her, they could definitely afford better. What was she thinking? She better leave better she was humiliated. Before she could gather her thought and sum up courage to leave, she heard soft clicks of heels approaching from the direction the elderly lady had disappeared to.
"Hello dear, welcome to my home"
Hello evil witch I'm ready to sell my soul.Hi! I'm so glad you read till the end of the chapter. Please I need your honest review in the comment.✨
