Since Arianna had been born she was regarded as a genius. Even though she lived in a small town with many uneducated, her talents were recognized by those around her. She could solve any problem at first glance an soon became a consultant in the village. She could provide cure for whatever illness they had by the mixture of leaves, she knew where was the perfect place to dig a well, and when rain was going to fall. For her small village she was like a god.
When Arianna was old enough the village awarded her by sending her to college. When Arianna witnessed how big the world was, she realized how big her talent was. She tried everything and was excellently good at it all. The world that seemed so big was suddenly growing so small and Arianna had nothing else to explore.
But there was one thing Arianna couldn't fully explore, that was the human mind. The more she thought she understood it the more it changed. It kept her busy and entertained so she began studying to be a therapist she wanted to be able to tame the human mind and channel how it went.
One day she was approached by a man. He introduced himself and stated that he was a detective and knew about her talent of solving mysteries. He needed her help cracking a case. Arianna figured out the culprit from just reviewing the file, suspect and crime scene. Arianna found this very interesting and worked with the police force in capturing criminals. She thought she had found something that she couldn't get bored of. She was craving so much amusement and entertainment she was ignorant of the dangers.
One day, the criminals who were caught by Arianna and had gotten bail sought their revenge and attacked her apartment. Meanwhile her parents had been visiting and wanted to surprise her. They were caught in it and that was the incident that caused her to lose her both parents.
Arianna realized that she had been foolish to seek fun over self-preservation.
After she and her grandmother relocated to New york, changed her second name which she was known with, and started anew as an ignorant therapist.
But what was she to do when someone offers her fun and safety?
