"Qetsiyah's your mother?" Walt's voice held a note of surprise.

"Yes, why did you say it like that?" I asked, feeling a knot tighten in my stomach.

Walt's gaze grew distant as he spoke. "Your mother and I were acquainted a very long time ago. I'm sure you know about her history with being an anchor to the Other Side."

"Yes, she told me about it countless times," I replied, my voice trembling slightly.

Walt nodded. "Well, I knew her before she was bound to that role. It's remarkable to hear she's still out there. I thought I'd lost track of her long ago."

I was stunned. All the stories my mother had shared stories I'd once doubted were true. The realization hit me hard, leaving me in a state of disbelief. "I never imagined those tales could be real. It's... overwhelming to hear it from someone who actually knew her."

Walt took a step closer, his eyes filled with a mix of empathy and nostalgia. "It's a lot to take in, I know. But understanding her past might help you make sense of your own path."

He then paused, his expression growing serious. "Well, Clover, since we will be wed soon, I must tell you the truth about things. Please know that I had to do this and it won't change anything between us."

"What do you mean?" I asked, my voice curious

"My name is all but a lie," Walt began, his tone shifting to something more somber. "My real name is Sebastian Deville. I was trapped in a time loop for centuries, and your mother accidentally pulled me out. The reason remains a mystery to me, but only Viktoria, Lucy, Mr. Fields, and now you know of my true identity."

He looked down, a hint of melancholy in his eyes. "Viktoria and Lucy... they're not involved with me romantically. Their presence here is solely for business."

His gaze met mine again, and there was an earnestness in his voice. "When I first saw you, it felt as if time itself had stopped. I was reminded of days long past, of love that once was and could be again. I find myself drawn to you in ways I hadn't anticipated. Your strength, your spirit—everything about you resonates with something deep inside me."

He took a deep breath, the weight of his confession hanging heavily in the air. "You don't have to feel the same way as I do. I understand if this is all too sudden, too overwhelming. I only wanted you to know the truth."

He paused, his expression shifting to one of regret. "I must also apologize for what I did to Evie. I charmed her only because of the whole three brides thing. It was necessary, but it didn't mean anything to me. And then you took her place, and I admire your bravery for that. I regret that it caused any discomfort and also—"

I couldn't listen any longer. I reached out, grabbing his face and pulling him into a kiss. It was urgent, deep, and full of the intensity of my feelings. He responded immediately, his hands sliding around my waist, pulling me closer. His touch was warm and insistent, as if he needed me as much as I needed him. When we finally parted, our breaths mingling, I looked into his eyes, vulnerable but determined.

"I also have feelings for you," I said softly, my voice trembling with emotion. "When you first came to my room that night, I thought it was sweet that you came to apologize. And when you sat with me by the lake while I was reading, I couldn't help but feel a connection. I still remember how you asked me to dance though it was meant for Evie, it still made me forget everything else."

feeling a mixture of vulnerability and hope. "I care for you more than I realized, and I'm not sure what comes next, but I want to be with
you—"

He cut me off by pulling me closer, his lips crashing against mine in a more urgent and intense kiss. His hands roamed my body, pulling me flush against him as our bodies pressed together. The kiss was fierce, full of a desperate need that made my heart race.

"I finally have you now, my little witch," he murmured between heated kisses, his voice filled with a mix of satisfaction and desire. His touch and the way he moved against me made it clear that this was more than just a moment it was a connection that went deeper than either of us had anticipated.

In the midst of our passionate embrace, I could hardly keep up with the whirlwind of sensations. Every touch, every caress seemed to heighten the intimacy between us, leaving me breathless and wanting more.

*knocks on the door*

We suddenly paused, our breaths mingling in the charged silence. Before we could fully process what was happening, the door burst open. Evie stormed in, her face flushed with urgency. Mr. Fields trailed behind, trying to catch her, but she was too quick.

"Clover, I missed you!" Evie says, running to me and enveloping me in a tight hug. Her presence was a welcome distraction from the intensity of the moment.

"I'm sorry, my lord. She just barged in I tried to stop her," Mr. Fields said, breathless.

Walter looked at me with a mix of frustration and resignation. "Now, Mr. Fields, it's alright. Let them have a moment. I'm quite parched myself."

He leaned in and kissed me gently on the cheek "I'll be back my love" he says and gives  Mr. Fields a nod. With that, Walter and Mr. Fields left the room, the door closing softly behind them.

"Now, girl, spill it. What were you and the lord up to before I burst in here?" she asked with a teasing smirk, her eyes sparkling with curiosity.
