I got dressed in my red V-neckline dress that I paired with my black triangular mouthed heels and my black purse. I accessorized with my simple gold jewelry set and put on my matte red lipstick. I didn't do much with my hair but pulled out the bun and made my mom add a ponytail to it. I checked myself in my full-length mirror after I finished getting dressed.
According to Marlon he was carrying me somewhere special so I had to dress special for the occasion. After checking myself I phoned Marlon.
"Hello," I said when I heard his voice on the other end.
"Hello, Lanle, I'm on my way." He replied.
"Okay," I said before hanging up to place the phone in my bag.
"Mom, I'm going now." I said as I landed downstairs.
"Oh, Lanle, you look so beautiful." She said coming up to me. "Can I get a picture?" she asks.
"Mom..." I smiled bashfully while she flashed the camera without my consent. I posed and took the picture just as I heard the beeping of a car.
"That's me mom." I said on cue. She blew me a kiss and I went outside this time being greeted by Marlon at the passenger door of his silver Bentley not his Volkswagen Jeeta. He opened the door for me before going around his side.
While I sat in the car, I realized my surroundings got more unfamiliar by the minute. That made me panic internally but a part of me knew he wouldn't do me any bad now.
"Where are you taking me?" I asks, my internal fear taking over my composed exterior.
"Relax," he smirked.
"How can I?" I rudely replied.
"You'll see." He said as we drove on a lonely road before stopping before a wooden gate that opened automatically.
"We're here," said Marlon cheerfully trying to reach for my hand which I pulled back successfully.
"Come on, Lanle, there's no time to be upset." With that he drove in and parked. He came out of the car then he opened my door and led us to the small building behind the gate. It was a small board house painted in red with white trims. It looked like a barn.
As if on cue, an old lady came out to greet us and led us into the house. There sat a table for two with candles and gold dishes and utensils and red rose petals were all over the floor. At the table Marlon pulled out my chair before going to sit. I looked around admiring the place and its decor. It had a modern look yet a historic charm to it.
"What is the meaning of this special occasion?" I asked after some time. The lovely decor of this place made me to wonder what all this meant.
"It's just a special dinner with a special friend." He winked. I looked away bashfully smiling.
After a while, our appetizers were served which led into the main course then dessert. The catering team served us French cuisine only. For my first time eating french food it wasn't bad. During our meals we talked and laughed and I felt overjoyed.
"I would like to go outside to moon gaze. Would you join me?" He asks giving me his hand.
"I would love to." I took his hand and we walked hand in hand to two chairs that were around a bonfire.
"I used to moon gaze a lot as a child. It provides a sense of peace and allows me to meditate." He stated as we sat.
"That's interesting."
"Did I commented on how beautiful you look especially under the moonlight." I smiled at his compliment and turned my attention to the moon. He looked handsome himself in his navy blue suit which went well with his black suede loafers. He looked immaculate.
