My alarm rang sharply at 7. Work was at 8 and my workplace was 15 minutes away from my house by transportation.

I went to the bathroom and took a shower and then I got dressed. After, I went downstairs to make myself some breakfast as my mom left early for work.

When I was finished eating, I washed my plate and headed for the door. In 5 minutes a cab came. The driver drove slowly to my destination and during the drive I was just staring out at the two rundown communities that we had to pass to reach my destination. They were just like my community of Bennywood with zinc fences and board houses. Though it seems they were in a more worse condition. These communities were
for the poor dark skins. And communities like these weren't far from where the rich live and do businesses and sometimes these communities surround the rich.

The rich didn't care for the poor though and saw us as slaves. We couldn't acquire entrepreneurial positions and could only work for the five rich families who controlled our society.

I snapped out my reverie when I reached my destination. As I came out of the cab, I entered the building, greeted everyone in the reception area politely and then went to the human resource manager's office.

He showed me my desk and the project I was appointed to work on. I  was to draw a plan for an all inclusive hotel and oversee its construction. This hotel was for the Hanks family. They were Nisean's wealthiest family. They invested heavily in both the real estate, banking and media aspects of Nisean. They also owned the firm I was working at. In the news, they said it was run by the patriarch and matriarch's 2nd son-Marlon-Josh.

I had two months to finish this plan and show it to the head architect for approval. Though I had to do a draft within 3 weeks for her to see.

The day went by speedily and now it was time to go home.

When I reached home I greeted mom and we both spoke of our day before showering for dinner and heading to bed.
