"That's my brother..." I mutter.

When I utter the words, it's as if time stops. Valentino's face is clearly confused. "I thought it was just you Alex, Kalani and Rowan." well you thought wrong.

I chuckle and shake my head, "No. When we first left, Gio had already moved to college. He was always dad's favorite and never left his side. He was always watching Mami and Alex to make sure they never left, he always accompanied Joseph to meetings, warehouses, galas etc. He didn't bother to help Mami when Joseph would beat and rape her. Instead he would snitch to Joseph when Mami would sneak out to see Collin. He was a nuisance to say the least." I laugh bitterly at how instead of being my protective eldest brother, he was an abusive asshole just like Joseph.

Valentino huffs out a breath as he pinches the bridge of his nose. I lean back onto the couch, "How didn't you know? Do you not run background checks?" he shakes his head, "I don't know how they missed this.."

I kiss my teeth and shrug, "So what now? They know we're onto them, they know i've been going undercover."

There's a slight silence. "We go to plan B." my brows draw together and I tilt my head, "And what is plan B?"

"We train you to become our weapon." I laugh, i fucking laugh, there's no way he thinks i'll be able to become that good in such little time. "And how will you do that?"

"I'll train you myself everyday until we leave to Italy." I briefly shut my eyes taking a deep breath. "Italy?" I ask in disbelief. He hums and stands up.

"Alex is on his jet, he'll be here soon." I shoot up with a big smile, "Alex is coming?" I quirk up and follow Valentino to the bedroom.

Valentino hums and starts to unbutton his shirt. "Just for business. He's plan C."

"How is he plan C?" Valetino unbuckles his belt then starts to unzipped his pants and I immediately turn around so my back is facing him. "Wouldn't Joseph be more willing to take me in and talk to me as his only daughter."

"Not anymore. He knows you're not on his side. He won't trust you." my face twists with confusion, "He also knows Alex can't be trusted either. What's the difference?"

I turn around assuming he's fully dressed again. "Well yes, but Alex can play the part, he's trained if anything goes wrong." I hum finally understanding what he meant.

"So once i'm fully trained and ready, I can go back in." Valentino sighs, "Mhmm. If that's what you want." I nod and climb into bed, "That is what I want."

Valentino briefly nods and pulls the comforter over us, "Good." he takes a small breath then turns around to face me, "Y'know," he begins.

I turn to face him as well, laying on my side. "You looked amazing tonight." he threads his fingers through my hair. Are the hot and cold games finally gonna stop?

I bite my bottom lip to hide my grin and hide my face in the pillow to hide my pinkish cheeks. He nips at my cheek with a playful smile, "Don't hide. It's true." I take my face out the pillow and sigh contentedly.
