University Parking Lot – Early AfternoonAs Krit and Vel make their way back to the car, the air between them is thick with tension. Krit can’t resist the urge to tease Vel, especially after seeing how uncomfortable he was in the cafeteria.
Krit: (smirking, voice low) You know, Vel, you were acting pretty weird back there. Almost like you were jealous or something.
Vel stiffens slightly, his eyes narrowing as he keeps his gaze ahead.
Vel:(gruffly) I wasn’t jealous. Just making sure things didn’t get out of hand.
Krit chuckles, stepping a little closer as they walk.
Krit: (in a teasing, almost sultry tone) Oh, come on, admit it. You didn’t like seeing her so close to me, did you?
Vel grits his teeth, trying to ignore the way Krit’s voice is getting under his skin. He can feel the heat rising in his chest, but he pushes it down, refusing to let it show.
Vel: (firmly) I’m just doing my job, Krit.
But Krit isn’t backing down. In fact, he seems to be enjoying this far too much. He steps in front of Vel, forcing him to stop walking.
Krit: (voice dropping, a playful edge to it) What if I told you I like seeing you riled up? Makes you look… intense.
Before Vel can react, Krit moves closer, his eyes glinting with mischief. The next thing Vel knows, he’s pinned up against a nearby wall, Krit’s hands on either side of him, trapping him in place. Vel’s heart pounds in his chest, and he swallows hard, trying to keep his composure.
Krit: (leaning in, their faces inches apart) You should really learn to relax, Vel.
Vel can barely breathe. Krit’s proximity is overwhelming, and he can’t bring himself to meet those piercing eyes. He closes his eyes, waiting for… he doesn’t even know what.
Then, he feels a light, unexpected pressure on his nose.( you guys thought I'll make them kiss so fast. Nope)His eyes snap open in surprise, just in time to see Krit pull back, a smirk playing on his lips.
Krit: (softly, almost whispering) Gotcha.
Vel stares at him, dumbfounded, his mind racing to catch up with what just happened. His breath is still shallow, his pulse erratic, but there’s also a strange sense of relief—mixed with something he doesn’t want to name.
Krit steps back, his expression playful but with a hint of something deeper.
Krit:(smirking) Let’s get going. Can’t be late.
Vel nods, still too stunned to form a proper response. As they head to the car, he can’t shake the lingering warmth from where Krit had kissed his nose, and the unsettling realization that he didn’t entirely hate it.
Vel’s POV:
As they head to the car, Vel’s mind is a chaotic mess. His heart is still pounding, and he can feel the heat lingering on his face where Krit had kissed his nose.
Vel:(internally, panicked) What the hell just happened to me? Shit, shit, shit…
He tries to steady his breathing, forcing himself to focus. Krit was just playing around, trying to get under his skin like always. That’s all it was. He didn’t mean anything by it.
Vel: (internally, convincing himself) He was just messing with me. That’s all. He doesn’t care… he couldn’t care.
But the memory of Krit’s warm breath against his skin, the feeling of being pinned against the wall, and that unexpected kiss on his nose—it all keeps replaying in his mind, refusing to be ignored. Vel has always been in control, always keeping his emotions in check. He’s had his share of flings, random hookups where emotions were kept far out of the equation. Sex was just a transaction, a way to make some quick cash and keep moving. Love was never part of the deal.
