Hi!
I know I said I’d post the next chapter later, but I wanted to share this one for an announcement. So, Fragments of Us, our new story, has its first chapter published! If you’re familiar with my writing style, you’ll know that my first chapters are usually all about introducing the characters. So, feel free to check it out, and I’d love to hear your thoughts—whether you like it or not, your feedback means a lot to me.
Fun fact: I actually came up with this idea while sitting in class, waiting for my teacher to give me the exam papers! It was an English exam, and while we had that “don’t-study-right-now” moment before the test, I started daydreaming about story ideas. One thing led to another, and boom—Fragments of Us was born. I even ran the idea by a friend, and they thought it sounded interesting. So, I couldn’t wait to share it with you all and see what you think!
Now, back to the current story. I’m really excited about what’s coming next! The next two to three chapters will focus on improving Krit’s relationship with his father. After that, there will be a bit of a time skip, where we’ll see both Krit and Vel doing well as they transition into adulthood. Don’t worry—I’m not going to drag things out unnecessarily. We’ll get to the good stuff quickly, like the marriage (yes, you read that right!), and then the story will wrap up.
I’m hoping to finish everything before my exams end. But even if they’re not over, I’ll still keep writing—who cares, right? 😂 My last exam isn’t all that important anyway.
So yeah, that’s what I wanted to share! Don’t forget to check out Fragments of Us, and let me know what you think of the character introduction. It won’t take too much time to read, I promise. And lastly, this chapter you’re reading now is more free-flowing—I didn’t proofread it, so if you spot any mistakes, I apologize in advance!
That’s all for now. Thanks for reading, and see you soon!
Bye! 👋
==================================
A week had passed since Krit and Vel had both dived back into their studies. Krit, still getting used to the routine of a university student, found himself spending most of his time buried in textbooks or attending lectures. He was always known for his sharp mind, but after a break from school, getting back into study mode was a challenge.Vel, on the other hand, had just started his English degree and was eager to keep up with his new academic path. He’d never thought he’d be sitting in classrooms again, but it felt good—different from anything he’d done before. There was something refreshing about the simplicity of learning, of working towards something new.
On this particular evening, they sat together at their apartment's table. Krit was bent over his study material for an upcoming exam, while Vel was working on an essay for his English class. Vel was reading The Great Gatsby for one of his assignments, trying to understand the deeper meanings behind the American dream.
