Krit and Vel arrived at the grand estate for Krit’s father's birthday party. The mansion was bustling with guests, music, and laughter, but Krit’s mind was elsewhere. Vel stood by his side, offering silent support as they entered the party together. The tension between Krit and his father, Lek, lingered in the air, making the occasion feel more like an obligation than a celebration. Lek, dressed in his finest, was the center of attention. As they approached, Krit’s hand instinctively tightened around Vel’s waist, finding comfort in their connection amid the swirling chaos of the event.

Krit and Vel entered the grand ballroom, where the party was in full swing. The room was filled with Thailand’s elite—businessmen, politicians, celebrities, and actors—all mingling and exchanging pleasantries under the dazzling chandeliers. The atmosphere was electric, but Krit’s grip on Vel’s hand stayed firm as they moved through the crowd.

"Look at this place," Vel whispered, glancing around at the sheer opulence. "It's like a who's who of Thailand."

Krit sighed, his eyes scanning the room. "Yeah, Dad likes to flaunt his connections. It’s always like this at his parties—dignitaries and big names everywhere."

Vel raised an eyebrow, smirking slightly. "Guess we’re the only ones here for moral support, huh?"

Krit chuckled, squeezing his hand. "Pretty much. But I’m glad you’re with me, Vel. This place can get overwhelming."

Vel smiled softly, leaning in closer. "I’ve got your back, Krit. Let’s just survive this night and maybe sneak out early."

Krit gave a small grin, his tension easing. "That sounds like the best plan I’ve heard all night."

Then Krit grinned having an idea. He leaned in closer to Vel, his voice dropping to a teasing whisper. “You know, you look ridiculously good tonight. If we weren’t at my father’s party, I’d probably drag you somewhere quiet.”

Vel’s face flushed instantly, but he fought to stay composed. “Krit, behave. This is your dad’s birthday, not the time for... that.”

Krit chuckled, his eyes gleaming mischievously. “Who says I can’t multitask? I can be a good son and flirt with my handsome boyfriend at the same time.”

Vel bit his lip, trying not to smile. “You’re impossible. Keep it up, and I might actually get shy.”

Krit leaned in even closer, his lips brushing against Vel’s ear. “Good. I like when you get shy.”

Krit smirked, his hand brushing against Vel’s waist. "You’re still blushing. It’s cute."

Vel shifted, trying to hide his smile. "I’m not blushing. You’re just imagining things."

"Sure, you’re not," Krit teased, his gaze playful. "But if you keep looking at me like that, I might have to take you away from this party."

Vel nudged him, rolling his eyes. "Stop. People are going to notice."

"Let them," Krit replied with a wink. "Let them see how lucky I am."

Just then, Krit’s father, Lek, and stepmother, Dao, approached them, smiles on their faces.

"Vel, Krit, there you are," Lek greeted warmly.

"Hi Dad , Hi Mom," Vel responded politely, nodding to each of them. "The party is amazing, as expected."( Even if he doesn’t think it's amazing)[ but our boy is polite]

Krit, on the other hand, stayed grumpy and detached. "  Hello Mr. and Mrs. Kitkaruwannakul."

Lek raised an eyebrow at his son’s formal tone but chose not to comment. Dao, however, smiled at Vel. "You look so handsome in this outfit, Vel."
