Waking up from their nap, Vel and Krit felt a mix of excitement and exhaustion. They stretched and yawned, taking a moment to gather their thoughts as they sat on the edge of the bed. Krit rubbed his eyes, glancing over at the bags and boxes still scattered across the living room.

“All right,” Krit said, exhaling deeply. “Let’s start making this place functional. How about we tackle the kitchen first?”

Vel nodded, pushing himself up from the bed. “Good idea. We can’t do much if the kitchen’s a mess.”

They moved to the kitchen area, a large, luxurious space that almost looked like it belonged in a showroom. The kitchen was the crown jewel of their home—spacious and modern, with every detail carefully considered. It had a sleek, dark granite countertop that extended into a cooking island in the middle of the room. Above the island hung two elegant pendant lights, casting a warm, golden glow that made the space feel both luxurious and inviting. The island also housed a built-in cooktop, seamlessly integrated into the surface for a minimalist look.

Surrounding the island, the main kitchen stretched along the far wall. A polished stainless steel sink sat beneath a large window that overlooked the garden, allowing natural light to flood the space during the day. Below the sink and the cooktop were rows of custom cabinets, fitted with soft-closing hinges and finished in a glossy, deep charcoal hue. The cabinets provided ample storage for pots, pans, and all sorts of kitchen gadgets. Above the counter, more cabinets lined the wall, their frosted glass doors giving a hint of the dinnerware and glasses that would soon occupy them.

To the side of the kitchen stood a massive, three-door refrigerator, its silver finish adding to the room's sleek aesthetic. The refrigerator was a high-end model from Sub-Zero, boasting ample space for all their groceries and equipped with advanced temperature controls to keep their food fresh.

“All right, let’s get to it,” Krit said with a determined nod. He grabbed the bags of kitchenware, spreading them out on the countertop. “I’ll handle the dishes, glasses, and utensils. You take care of the groceries and put them in the fridge and cabinets.”

Vel picked up a couple of grocery bags, heading toward the refrigerator. “Deal,” he replied, smiling at Krit’s enthusiasm. Opening the refrigerator doors, he marveled at the spacious interior and all the fancy features. “You really went all out with this fridge, huh?” Vel remarked, shaking his head slightly in amusement as he began placing their fresh fruits, vegetables, and meat neatly on the shelves.

Krit shrugged, his eyes focused as he unwrapped the plates from their protective packaging. “Hey, it’s an investment. If we’re going to live here, might as well make it as comfortable as possible,” he replied, starting to arrange the dishes inside one of the upper cabinets.

Vel couldn’t argue with that logic. He continued organizing the groceries, filling up the cabinets with dry goods, pasta, canned foods, and jars of sauces. There was something satisfying about putting everything in its place, knowing that soon they’d be able to cook together in this kitchen.

Meanwhile, Krit worked with precision, lining up the glasses, cups, and mugs in a neat row within the frosted glass cabinets. He arranged the cutlery in the drawers beneath the countertop, making sure that every spoon, fork, and knife had its proper place. Next, he moved to the cooking utensils, hanging them on a sleek metal rack mounted on the wall next to the stovetop for easy access.

The more they worked, the more the kitchen began to take shape. Krit added finishing touches, placing an elegant stainless steel knife block on the counter next to the sink, while Vel arranged spice jars and cooking oils on a lazy Susan in one of the lower cabinets.
