Flashback - One Year Ago

I was with my dad, Clarke, her dad, and both Wells and his dad. We were all watching a soccer game.

Clarke's dad, Jake, speaks. "See that? Here comes the momentum change." His and Clarke's team scores. "Yeah!"

Me, my dad, Wells and Jaha groan; we were voting for the other team.

"Prepare for crushing defeat." Clarke tells me and Wells smugly.

"It's not over yet." Wells retorts.

"Actually, it was over a hundred and forty seven years ago."

"A technicality."

"Yeah, no one likes a smart ass, Clarke." I nudge her.

My dad pats my shoulder. "So you do know the saying." I roll my eyes.

Clarke's mom, Abby, walks in. "What'd I miss?"

"Your husband and daughter being obnoxious." Jaha answers.

"This isn't gonna last." Clarke says as our team scores.

"What was that about momentum?" Wells asks her.

"I think it was, feel the momentum. I feel it, alright." Me and Wells high five.

Clarke's dad gets up.

"Everything okay?"

"Oh, yeah. You know this old boat. It's always something."

My dad looks at him. "Nothing you can't fix."

Flashback End - Present Day

Jasper was groaning in pain.

I could hear him, even with me being outside of the drop ship.

I was sharpening a stick, trying to make it into a spear.

Someone walks next to me, and bumps against my shoulder with their hip. I look up and see Octavia. "So, what's our great Knight doing tonight?"

I chuckle. "Trying to make a spear."

"Ah." She nods and sits next to me. "Need help?"

I shake my head. "Nah, I got it."

"Planning on going out to get more food? Trying to keep your hero complex filled?"

"'Hero complex'?" I repeat confused.

"You know, trying to go out and save Jasper by yourself. Killing the panther. You have so far saved me, Clarke, Bellamy, Jasper and everyone else from starving."

"Jasper saved the both of us. That snake would've came got us if he didn't distract it."

She smiles. "Oh I get it. He saved us so that means save everyone, got it. I need to get on that." She jokes.

I chuckle. "Funny. Said you want to help? Grab a lantern. I'm gonna go to a river, try to see if I can get some fish."

She grins and stands up, going to find a lantern. After a minute she comes back. "Alright, let's go."

I stand and we start walking to the river that's closer to us.

I stab the water, attempting to get the fish that swam by, but I miss. "Damn it."

"Aww, the Knight can't get a fish?" Octavia teases.

I hold the spear to her. "Alright, you try." I take the lantern from her.
