There's A Way

A/N: Another chapter. Sorry for the long wait. Hope you enjoy.

I run towards camp.

I slow down as I see the gates. "Open up!"

I slip through the now opened gates. First thing I notice is the large crowd of people all in a mix of panic and worry.

I move past them and into the main council area.

Inside was Clarke, Abby, dad, and another man who looked very similar but different. The former Chancellor Jaha, Wells' father.

I stare at him in shock.

He looks at me. "Y/N Kane. I hear you've been leading everyone. I'm impressed."

"Jaha...." I start. "How'd you...."

"Live? I used a missile on the Ark. I landed in the desert. A family informed me of some stuff. The kid spoke highly of you. You're a symbol." The man explains.

I nod slowly. "Yeah." I then look at Clarke. "Come on. I need to talk to you... privately."

Dad cuts in. "Before that. Jaha came with a message. The grounder Commander is coming here."

"What?" I turn towards Jaha. "Did they keep you imprisoned?"

"Not for long. Y/N, this Commander is-"

I cut him off. "Drop it. I'll talk to her when she gets here. Clarke, let's go." I grab her arm and pull her out.

She has to speed up to keep pace with me. "Y/N, what's the rush? Where are the others?"

I stop, pulling her into a hall. "The guards are dead. Reapers. Carl, Octavia, and Bellamy are at the drop ship. We found Lincoln."

Clarke stares at me. "Okay. What's the problem?"

I lower my voice. "He's a Reaper. But if he can be turned into one, he can be switched back, right?"

The blonde shakes her head awkwardly. "I don't know, Y/N. This isn't anything I've done before."

"Please. Just try. You're our best bet."

Clarke thinks for a minute. "Let me get some stuff." She walks off.

I sigh, chewing my lip.

I hear someone walk up from behind me. Dad.

"Y/N, hey."

I turn to look at him. "Dad, I can't really talk."

"Okay. I won't ask. But Raven figured out how to listen in on Mount Weather. They didn't blow the tower. We won't be able to talk to anyone else in the meantime. Clarke said that's what you'd do." He informs.

"Yeah, alright." I go to leave but stop. "I'm going to the drop ship. Me and Clarke. Carl, Bellamy, and Octavia are already there with a grounder. His name is Lincoln. He's saved my life before."

"This the one that stabbed you?"

"We invaded his home."

He nods. "Okay. You want me to get anyone else to join you?"

"No. I want you in charge 'till I'm back. If the grounders get here, you talk to them. The Commander... just stall her long enough." I tell him.

Dad nods. "I will. Be careful." He wraps me in a side hug then walks away.

I leave the station.

Clarke joins me. "Ready?"

"Yeah." I put a hand on her back and lead her through the crowd and out of camp.
