A/N: Another chapter. Y/N's kind of losing it this chapter. I hope you enjoy, it's a long one.

My hand shakes as I try scrubbing the blood off of it.

I was in Lexa's command tent, alone. I was on her throne, desperately scrubbing my hand with a wet rag.

Someone comes in, but I pay no attention until I feel Clarke's hand rest on mine.

"Let me."

I pull my hands away. "They would've tortured him, Clarke. They.... You knew what they were going to do. I-I had to..."

Clarke nods her head, grabbing my face. "I know. I know. You did it for him."

"Raven won't-"

"She'll understand at some point. Like I- Like we all do." Clarke reassures me, taking the rag and gently rubbing it on my stained hand.

"I had to. I..."

She cuts me off. "It's okay. It's okay." She hugs me, holding me against her tightly. "It's okay."

I hold onto her tightly. "What's the point to this if I lose everyone I care about?"

Clarke pulls away, looking at me intently. "Hey, look at me. You did what was right. You saved Finn from a worse fate. I know that. You know that."

I nod slowly at first before muttering. "Yeah, yeah." I think to the stuff Lexa said the other day... 'Love is a weakness'.

Gustus walks in. "The commander is ready to talk."

I push Clarke away, standing up. The blonde wipes my face, I guess of a stray tear I didn't notice.

Lexa walks in, walking between Clarke and I to sit on her throne. "Blood has answered blood." She stares at me, seemingly waiting for a reaction. "Some on my side say that's not enough. They wanted the murderer to suffer as our tradition demands, but they do not know that your suffering will be worse." She doesn't look away from me, continuing. "What you did tonight will haunt you until the end of your days."

I break. "Is there a point to this?"

Lexa rolls her eyes. "Still, there will be restitution. The body will be given to the people of Tondc, murderer and murder joined by fire." She paused. "Only then can we have peace."

"We'll do it." I reply softly.

"No. He's done enough for you." Clarke gets to my defense without me saying anything. "It should be our choice what to do with the body."

Indra walks in. "Enough? We were owed the pain of eighteen deaths. We were owed our righteous kill. My village deserves justice."

"That's vengeance." I say simply.

"You have not seen my vengeance."

"I said we'll do it." My patience was getting the better of me. "But as soon as it's done, we're talking about Mount Weather. It's time for your side to start pulling their weight to us." I quickly add on before Gustus or Indra can speak out. "I don't mean some fuck-ass mercy talk, or this land. Supplies, training, that's the deal. Swallow it, move on." I turn and walk towards the tent flaps with Clarke on my trail.

"We want the same things, Y/N. You and I are not so different." Lexa stands up.

I bite back a retort. "You say we're the same. I don't have any patience, I doubt you do too. When do we leave?"

"Now. Choose your attendants." She eyes Clarke up. "I expect her to be one. Anya will be there when we arrive." The grounder walks outside with her right hands.
