The Ik Wil Je music video shoot distracted Maeve from the previous altercation with Nathan, for the time being. It was the first moment in months where she felt true enjoyment. In the company of the team, Evie was assertive and confident.

What Maeve did not know, was that a certain person remained focused on her. The stolen glances, the suspicion in his eyes when Nathan ignored her touch once again and the sorrow when disappointment washed over her face. Joost persisted to be opaque to his friends. He wasn't keen on being constantly teased about being attracted to the newly encountered, pretty girl.

Unfortunately, she was soaked in oblivion. Joost's emotions were one-sided with her being infatuated with his friend.

"So... what do you think?", Alanis coerced Maeve excitedly.

"That was so fun", she stated with a smile,"They're sweet, the guys."

Ali took a glimpse at her friend while driving through the night: "I'm glad. They're searching for a new photographer too, for their gigs, you know."

"I would like that..."

"But?"

"But I can't."

"Why? You've been looking for a new job!"

"I know. I just... can't."

Alanis groaned at Maeve's unpromising words. She hated how her roommate tended to be secretive about important information.

"You are gifted, this is your chance! Please, at least think about it and come to Joost's show in two weeks", she pleaded the stubborn girl.

Maeve's eyes flickered over the nocturnal city through the car window. Her face was dimly lit, preventing Alanis from watching the process of her thoughts displayed on Maeve's grimace.

Was it right to let Nathan have so much control over her life? Would he be upset if she went to one show? What if she genuinely liked it and wanted to work with them?

She had no answers and determined she had to deal with his nonsense attitude towards her, putting her tranquility at risk: "Fine. I'll watch, no promises though."
Ali leaned back into her seat with a satisfied grin. The dark-haired girl was set on her friend to take the opportunity.

"What is taking them so long?", Alanis scoffed, pacing back and forth in front of the back door to the venue.

Maeve was, quite frankly, astonished when her roommate informed her of Joost selling out Melkweg. It held about a thousand people, a ton to the reserved juvenile.

She watched her striding cinematographer until the entrance finally opened. Apson sheepishly grimaced at the inconvenience: "Sorry about that, we had a little freak out."

The curly-haired man refused to broaden his statement and left the girls to wonder what they had to go berserk about. Instead of carrying their minds away, they followed him.

A dark hallway guided the trio through the venue full of egresses. In her head, Evie guessed which one they would eventually dip into. Her hypothesises were proved false a few times. Apson paused in front of a black metal door with a piece of paper lazily attached to it.

He swiftly scanned the words Joost Dressing Room and nodded to himself. His fist knocked against the hard material and pushed the handle without waiting for an answer.

The chaotic room revealed with clothes and necessities thrown in every corner. Two couches were facing each other, an unclosed box of merchandise took the space. It was clear that the team had been working in there.
