Maeve was overly optimistic about the breaking of her relationship's secrecy. She skipped to the studio, feeling free and comfortable.Since ending the festival summer, she had been staying at Joost's house. Alanis and Apson had allowed themselves a vacation in Italy and left her alone in the large dwelling. Evie's hatred for loneliness and her boyfriend living next door shook hands of unity.
The pair had come home the previous night and were catching up on sleep before they were supposed to join the trio. The friendgroup's reactions had been filled with happiness and encouragement. Both Joost and Maeve appreciated their friends' uplifting support.
The Dutch artist was isolated in the soundproof booth as she entered the room. Teun nodded along to the beat he had created and clicked away on the open FL Studio tab. The producer was the first to notice Maeve's presence and smiled happily.
"You doing good, Evie?", he asked instinctively.
She hummed, flicking up his hat as she passed Teun in his chair to set down her bag. He growled and rolled his eyes humorously.
The gesture made her boyfriend exit his space and flash the girl a heart-quickening grin. Evie threw her arms around the man's middle and let her head rest in his cupped hands. Joost closed the gap between them and pressed his lips to hers.
"Good morning, liefje", he spoke, barely above a whisper.
Maeve chuckled: "Morning is really pushing it, my love. It's three in the afternoon."
"What...", Joost made his phone screen light up to show the digital clock,"Damn, Teun, we have been recording nonstop for hours."
The older man shrugged. He accepted the possibility of overworking when they were deeply concentrated on their work. Evie was usually more concerned about it than the two. She tried her best to limit her functioning time to refrain herself from burning out. Her habits projected onto Joost overtime.
"Well, call me a clairvoyant for bringing this then!"
The Irish woman cleared her bag of three food boxes. Maeve had predicted the situation and provided them with Chinese takeout. Joost and Teun's faces lit up at their favourite restaurant's servings.
"How did I ever survive without you?", Joost gasped.
His friend snorted: "Seriously, you are a lifesaver!"

While the harmonic duo continued to improve their composition, the young photographer edited her most recent shots. She planned on publishing a collection of festival highlights.
One could've assumed Maeve had already melted into the soft couch from the lack of movement on her side. She was devoted to perfect the post before heading off to sleep.
A mixture of imposter syndrome and meticulousness accompanied Evie through the late evening. Even after Teun had gone home.
"Liefje?"
She didn't respond.
"Eves?"
Still silence.
"Maeve!", Joost raised his voice slightly, finally snapping her out of her trance.
She stared at him with alleviated pupils and a questioning expression. The glasses on her nose, which Evie had specifically bought to protect her already crippling eyesight from the laptop exposure, reflected Joost's figure. His frustrated, yet worried gaze barely settled with her attention on her boyfriend.
