After Eurovision, an enormous pile of contracts and enquiries for festivals scattered around Joost and his crew. It led them to a busy line-up for the summer, all whilst organising his very own tour in the new year.

The weight of sudden attention caused the Dutch artist to disappear from the public for a few weeks, in which he flew to Helsinki, to collaborate with Käärijä, and recording new songs. He released one of them in the beginning of June, the others were set to come out in the next week.

Joost's first performance since the contest was Pinkpop. His headlining gig attracted thousands of Europeans, if not beyond. They waited patiently for his set in the blazing sun.

He idled on a camping chair in his tent, the known wired earphones pressed into his ears and eyes closed. It had became his habit to keep himself grounded. With the small devices, the rushing workers around him seemed to fade away.

Evie gently snaked her arms around his neck from behind. She rested her chin on his head for a moment, before Joost lifted it to look at her.

"Hey, baby", she smiled,"You have five minutes until showtime."

The blonde hummed, reaching up to pull his girlfriend's head down and kissing her lips.

As the couple pulled apart, Nadia stormed into the pavilion. She looked frantic and was closely followed by Alanis. The Irish girl almost cried at the thought of misfortunes or any inconvenience.

"Evie, I'm not joking. I just saw Louis Tomlinson", Nads held Maeve by her shoulders.

"But I thought you were-"

"Yes, I am! But have you seen him? God, he's gorgeous", she cut her best friend off.

The photographer groaned: "I know!"

Joost threw his hands up defeatedly.

"He's still not you, darling. Plus he has a kid and is fairly unreachable", she clarified,"Anywho, we really have to go!"

The Dutch man's decision was to start his set with Europapa. Stuntje went on stage first, opening the performance with the keyboards in front of him. Fog built up, barely revealing the man.

Alanis turned her camera on, connecting it to the screen behind Stuntje and now Teun. He was projected onto the large wall as the crowd began cheering. Through the thick smog, Joost was able to make it to his position in the centre without being seen.

As the air cleared slightly, the song began playing. There wasn't anything particularly unusual about the way he moved around the stage. Except there was. Joost seemed free and fully happy with his new role in the world. The constant grin was genuine.

Maeve tried her best to capture the authentic beauty of Joost's pure ecstasy. She attempted to use her recent favourite photography technique a few times throughout the show. She called it the 'fly on the wall' style. Her father had recommended using a polaroid camera every now and then, to Evie's surprise, she loved the results.

After Europapa, the blonde changed outfits and began running through his typical setlist. The energy of the audience was palpable, with everyone singing along. Joost enjoyed it, so did his friends.

The young photographer disappeared behind the screen for a quick break as Joost talked about his  shenanigans of the past weeks, not spilling too much though. Evie was met with the well-known face of Donnie, in suit and tie.
