Maeve yawned as she leaned back into the white hotel bed sheets. She had to finish editing the most recent pictures of Joost's festivals, which seemed more strenuous than usual. In her exasperated state, the loads of digital images multiplied with each result.

Breaks were rare and when she paused her mind, Evie's fingers began searching for trips. She had no actual destination in mind but after the summer was over, the girl urged to leave the western country, if not Europe.

From their current location in Hasselt, Belgium, their next halt would be Amsterdam, being reached the following day with some free time. The crew needed a breather to fulfil the mission of festivals. Everyone could witness the drained shells of the Albino Sports team slowly falling apart from the restless season.

"You should get some sleep, liefje."

Evie pushed the glasses on her face up, yearning for the mentioned event of closing her heavy eyelids. She fought for her remaining energy to last a few more minutes.

"Only these are left, like five photos. I promise, I'll go to bed soon", she told her boyfriend.

He joined her on the bed, freshly showered and dressed in his typical plain wife beater, paired with shorts. The blonde was exhausted and longed for nothing but a good night's rest with his lover in his arms.

Joost sighed: "Fine, I'm just looking out for you. You've been hustling for months."

"I know and I'm thankful for your support. I don't know what I'd do without you, literally", the Irish girl chuckled and tilted her head to kiss his lips softly,"Did you look at the links I sent you?"

"Indeed. Don't you think Italy and Spain are a little boring?"

She frowned, even through his sarcastic tone: "Those were my last resorts. Korea sounds fun!"

Joost shrugged, agreeing yet having something else in mind. Besides his obvious occupation pressure, he had gotten himself into another situation. The man would've loved to pour his heart out and fill the girl in, although that would defeat the purpose.

"I have another idea. How about diving into Japan's culture? You've always wanted to go, am I wrong?", Joost suggested as he watched Evie's eyes sparkle.

Maeve bit her lip: "It's too expensive, darling. Maybe when we're in our fourties. Anyway, I'm done and I really want to close my eyes. Let's talk about this tomorrow."

The Dutch man smiled, opening his arms for her to fall into. After placing her laptop on the bedside table, Evie gladly dropped her head on his chest. She let out a breath hadn't noticed she was holding.

Together, at peace, the pair drifted off into a deserved slumber. Side by side, in a passionate embrace.
