Working for Joost's record label was a resolution Maeve couldn't even think to regret. Her photography was gladly appreciated by the team who constantly praised her. The Albino Sports headquarters had become Evie's sanctuary for escaping the typical educational environment.

Nathan was not pleased to find out the girl had gone against his wishes to become their photographer. Luckily for Maeve, when he found out she worked for the company, their friends were present. Otherwise he would've reprimanded her. The Belgian youtuber kept his cool and accepted his fate, still upset at Evie.

Maeve found herself in her familiar café, biding her time to apprise Jeroen of her recent adventures. Their busy schedules overshadowed their daily routine in the past months.

"Hey girl", he sighed and slumped down on the chair. His forehead was covered in a thin layer of sweat from his hustling shift.

The girl's face across from him lit up: "Hello there, you look tired."

"I am", Jeroen slammed his hands down onto the table, clearly disturbed,"Tell me why people get in line and don't think to choose what they want until they're in the front?!"

"I don't know, honey. Let's be happy it's over", Maeve tried to reassure him.

Jeroen lounged back into his seat whilst facing the window to watch the late afternoon sun slowly set and the proletarians heading towards their homes after a prolonged duty day. He needed a moment to moderate himself until he started to speak again.

"What have you been up to then?"

Maeve reminisced about her latest life-decisions: "After Alanis and I went to Belgium for that music video, she offered me a job as their photographer..."

The boy's mouth opened excitedly.
"Oh my god! That is amazing, Evie", he beamed from ear to ear.

"Yeah, that's the thing", she pursed her lips,"I didn't agree at first."

"What?!"

"I did after watching Joost perform and since then I've been a permanent member of their crew!", Maeve was quick to continue her story.

Her best friend huffed, shooting her a stare saying 'you better.' Maeve treasured his support no matter what. She deeply yearned for any kind of confirmation of her choices, Alanis and Jeroen were perfect.

"Well then, Evie", the straight-haired boy wiggled his eyebrows,"Tell me more about that Joost guy."

Jeroen, having lived in the Netherlands his entire lifetime, knew who Joost was. Every Dutch child born in the early 2000s recognised the man. He used to be their favourite youtuber and now lasted as a rising artist to fall in love with. Jeroen was one of those children.

His Irish friend encountering the blonde did not phase him one bit... though he noticed the sparkle in Maeve's eyes as she pronounced his name. Jeroen couldn't help but investigate further.

Evie blushed unwillingly, pulled her sleeves down and hid her cheeks in her covered palms. It was too late for her friend to overlook her obvious fondness.

"He's sweet and funny. We're friends", Maeve replied simply. She pushed her feelings away, deep down into the back of her mind. She did not want any troubles, especially not about men.
