When Evie woke up from, what felt like, the best slumber of her life, a weight pressed her down into the bed. Joost had fallen asleep with his head on her chest. His arms wrapped around her waist tightly, holding Maeve in place.

She smiled at the sight of her peacefully asleep boyfriend. To the girl, it was a brain-altering moment, seeing Joost in her childhood room.

Her fingers slipped through his slightly tangled hair, the Dutch man sighed softly. Maeve listened to the raindrops drumming against the window and the wind howling, typical Irish weather. Especially since the family lived near the coast.

Joost stirred and slowly opened his eyes. His grip on her body tightened. Maeve kept brushing through his strands with her hand as she tried her best to soothe him.

"I'm sorry for waking you up, my love", Evie whispered and leaned down to plant a kiss on his forehead.

"It's alright, as long as it's you."

His voice was low and raspy, still showing signs of sleep, likewise his closed eyes. Maeve smiled lovingly whilst keeping the comfortable silence for a moment.

As his breath continued to flow persistently, the girl let her finger trace his features; his fine line tattoos, his cheekbones, all the way to his nose. Joost sighed quietly at her index finger continually rubbing over its shape. The man listened to Evie's heartbeat like it was some sort of magic tool for relaxation.

Maeve finally broke out of her trance: "Should I give you a city tour?"

"What, like tourist guides would?", he chuckled.

"Yes", she proudly stated,"Except I'll show you my favourite hidden spots as well!"

Joost lifted his head off of her chest to look his girlfriend in the eyes. They sparkled, even though the light in the room was limited.

The blonde had encountered many pairs of blue orbs before, including himself, yet Maeve's were special. His troubles and insecurities washed away with one simple meet. Joost adored them, more specifically her.

"Of course, I would love to do some sight-seeing", the man grinned.

Maeve leaned down to kiss him, forming a smile at the contact. Her boyfriend hummed into it and caused a wave of vibrations to engulf her body.

The Irish girl pulled away to rush the pair out of bed: "Come on then, the rain just stopped!"

Joost groaned at her energetic self and flopped back onto the pillows. Evie laughed at his slight lackadaisical expression to move out of the comfort of her duvet. Perhaps, a few more minutes would motivate him.
