"Hello?"

"Alanis, hey! Are you home?", Maeve was relieved to hear her best friend's voice.

"Yes... why, aren't you in Dublin?"

Confusion glazed Alanis' voice, clear through the line of the phone call and audible to Evie. The clock almost striking midnight for her did not faze her all too much.

She began explaining: "I am but I'm leaving, probably taking the next flight to Amsterdam."

"Holy shit, what happened?"

"I'll tell you when I can hug you, Ali", Maeve assured her friend,"See you soon, yeah?"

They ended the call. Maeve opened her front door to her parents on the couch watching a true crime documentary. She had always found it odd, especially in the middle of the night. Perhaps she was just a scaredy-cat.

Her mother turned to face her at the rattle of keys echoing through the hallway: "You're back early."

"Something happened between... you know. I'm packing and flying to the Netherlands in the morning."

Now her father jumped into the conversation. The mention of her being away again struck something in his heart.

"Are you sure?", he implied,"For how long?"

"I don't know yet, I'm staying at Ali's house", Maeve shrugged.

Her mum smiled sadly: "Do what feels right, schattebout. Do you need a ride?"

Evie hummed, thankful to have such understanding parents. They always encouraged her to follow her heart and mind, as long as she would be careful and letting them know.

The girl was quick to pack her bags with the fundamental items she needed for her imprecise time span. In an email, she informed the management of the band of her termination. Evie was upset, of course.

Over two years she had spent with them, and only them. They were still her closest friends but she craved a break from whatever someone would've considered her situation with Grian.

Until Maeve had to face him again, someday, she had to pull her mind off of him.

"Evie is coming over in a few hours", Alanis declared as she strolled into the home studio.

Joost and Teun had collectively agreed to hold yet another night shift of strictly creating new music. With the upcoming release of his collaboration with a German artist, Ski Aggu, he was looking forward to hustling. Apson and Stuntje gathered in the space as well to share the vibe of the session.

Since Maeve left the group, they decided to become neighbours altogether. In the area, Apson and Alanis bought a house, Joost on the right of them and Teun with Stuntje and Daan on the left. A small but nice next-door status.

Safe to say, Albino Sports have been spending more time than recommended together. None of them seemed to be bothered though. Going back and forth between houses had a charm to it.

Alanis' statement caused Teun to slam the pause button on the recording. His eyes widened, Stuntje and Appie mirroring his expression. The blonde in the soundproof booth frowned at the interruption, unaware of anything said outside of his box.

"Are you kidding?", Alanis' boyfriend was dumbfounded at her casualty, raising his voice from the couch in the corner of the room.
