Friends, it is such a nostalgic feeling to sit at a laptop and see this blank screen again. I started this book—way too young lol—at around 12 years old, and stopped it roughly around my freshman year of high school. When my friends would ask me why I stopped writing; I tell them my life had finally gotten fulfilling enough to where I didn't need to escape to fan fiction. Although there's truth to that, I've missed the creative outlet writing gave me. I learned how to navigate relationships and processed many of my experiences through my writing. I tried so many times to write a fresh story, my own creation, but I never could in the last four years I've since I closed Wattpad.
A couple of days ago, I started to read my stories again, not with embarrassment, but with a kind and loving gaze towards myself. I like them, they're dramatic as hell, and cringy, but so sweet. I don't think I'll go as deep into these stories as I did, but I am going to edit and republish them, one by one, as a way to de-stress in such a hectic time in my life. Just to make sure everything is cohesive; something I continuously struggle with lol. I wanna get this creative ball rolling again, and leave this book proud of what I've made.
I also can't stomach some of the stories in here lol, I was so damn angsty. I know my readers now are very different from before, and I wouldn't mind letting you guys get to know me a bit more, now that I am older. This account used to be my biggest secret in the world back in the day, I'm not sure why it was so life or death to me lmao. I don't wanna feel ashamed or geeky like I used to feel when it came to writing, I think it's cool what I've done here, and how many people liked my stories.
Anyway, feel free to leave a comment if you're still reading these, and let me know what you've liked from my stories or what you'd like to see. I'm not sure if I'll be editing my other books; I feel I outgrew those stories a little bit more. I hope you like my revisions, it's been super fun so far and I love being able to look back at a version of myself that I was so unsure of and see something so cool.
