Part 16: Begins (1/2)

Today was the day. The Stark Expo was just hours away, and I had a lot to look forward to. But before that, here I was, outside Tombstone's warehouse, ready to put a dent in his operations.

It's been an eventful week.

Anya and I finished our Neural Interface device project and our side project to go with it is beside it, and I'm excited to present both at the Expo. Along with my friends coming to the Expo, even Eddie even made time to come see our project.

Speaking of my friends, they're all doing well.

Things with MJ had been progressing nicely since our kiss, but we hadn't defined our relationship yet. We have been hanging out more than before at school and when I'm not out as Spider-Man or at Horizon.

Still, we do plan to hang out with each other at the Stark Expo with the rest and I planned to ask her to be my official girlfriend at the Expo.

Next is Jean, who is no longer shy as I once met her in the corner of the bus, but still a little withdrawn. I usually talk to her alone and try to boost her confidence like I would later see comics and shows.

Jean maybe has her powers, but I can't really tell nor do I want to ask her. Most likely, she doesn't because her telepathy hasn't fingered out I'm Spider-Man nor has Professor X has come and snatched her up.

Which, I feel, is a good thing in the grand plan of things. Professor X would go and disable Jean's potential and powers. Along with her not having the phoenix either.

Or more accurately not yet, regardless though I'm not ready to deal with her yet when the time comes nor do I want her to 'kill' her even if she comes back.

This is getting dark, I need to change the topic.

Eddie had been a tremendous help with my Spider-Man duties. Anything I have trouble with, he helps me without a second thought about it. It's nice having his support in all of this.

And the tech upgrades we made to my suit had been a game-changer.

Now, thanks to him, my web-shooters were better equipped, especially with the electric-proof modifications. I had a strong feeling I'd need that sooner rather than later and it would have been very handy with Doom before.

He even helped and explained how for me to integrate tech into my suit. Which has been life and a game changer. I was able to do it with my glasses, and you would think it would be easier with my suit, but you'll be wrong.

My suit was already filled with tech and such, but now with Eddie's help, we were able to squeeze it in there perfectly.

I thought about convincing Eddie into going into Horizon, but his passion in Chemistry is what ESU is best at.

Though I did manage to convince both Gwen and Clayton to join Horizon, or at least have them put in applications for Horizon.

Clayton was easy to convince into going into Horizon. He wants to work on sonic technology, which Horizon can help him best with. And, I'll need his sonic technology when it comes to symbiotes.

Or I could pull a Ben 10 Ultimate Alien and make something similar to Ultimate Echo Echo's sonic devices?

Thoughts for later.

Gwen was a lot harder to convince. Once she has her mind set on something, there is little anyone could do. She was set on an internship for OsCorp.

Yea, that's not happening.

So I did my best to convince her into going for Horizon. And, I succeeded. Which, like I said before, is very difficult to do. But luckily Peter Parker is someone she can only refuse for so long before my charms win her over. Which is something no one else can accomplish.
