Dear Readers,

Next update is on Saturday, if the feedback comes back before 9 PM Friday. (Tomorrow.)

I have seen a few comments asking about the number of chapters. The book was written to wind up at chapter 30, but sometimes during the course of editing, posting and taking scene requests the chapters may stretch on. I cannot give a conclusive number, however when the book is about to wind up I will give a week's warning. The series will stay for 48 hours after it is marked complete and then sent to the preliminary editor for editing, post which it will be shifted to digital platforms for sale.

A boy was running though the woods, crying for help. Arjun could hear the echoes of footsteps. The boy was being followed. His heart raced as the boy reached for him, before he could offer him his hand the boy vanished in smoke.

"Abhi"

Arjun yelled in fear. He tried to search for the boy but all he could see was smoke.

Before he could panic, a gentle hand caressed his forehead. Even in sleep Arjun felt soothed. The touch could work it's magic any day. He wanted to open his eyes but even asleep he knew the man would vanish the second he opened his eyes. If he was only his imagination at play, Arjun wanted to hold on to it. He needed to be held and soothed.

He drifted off to a peaceful sleep holding on to the warmth. When he opened his eyes after an hour, he felt relaxed. His first instinct was to look for his bhaiya, but as usual there was no one around. Once again he felt cheated. For a year he clung on to threads, desperate to give on his last hope, but now he could feel his heart giving up. It was not easy to know and not react.

"Arjun" The deep commanding voice, made Arjun stiffen. If was not so agitated, he would have felt his presence. He hated how the man sneaked in on him every time. He was the only man who managed to do so with success. Arjun both hated and admired the trait in him.

"Why are you here?" Arjun  got down from the hospital bed. He did not know when he was shifted there, but he knew who to thank for the favor. If he ever got a hands on the witch again, he would repay the favor, with interest.
