The jeep sped towards its destination at full speed. With each passing second Karan's worry intensified. Maan was shot. Karan could not let the truth get to him. Maan needed him to stand strong, he could not disappoint his friend and commander. A part of him wanted to break down and cry. He lost his brother once, he could not survive the pain another time. What hurt him more was that he was shot by the woman he loved.
The day Aakaksha learned the truth she would not be able to forgive herself. No woman deserves to live through the guilt, and no man deserves to go through the pain. As the GPS location beeped he brought the jeep to a screeching halt. They were too close to Akaksha's cottage. Maan must have been hurt badly if he was not able to escape from there. Karan hopped out of the Jeep and looked around. The location Maan shared was the same, but he was nowhere to be found.
It was too dark outside. The stars did little to illuminate the path. Karan pulled out his flashlight and scanned the area. There was not a bird inside. He was about to call Maan when he caught sight of the blood drops.
Karan's heart skipped a beat as he saw the trail of blood. With his heart racing he followed the trail. It ended behind the bushes. Karan gasped at the sight. The entire sand was drenched in blood. Maan must have been badly injured. He looked around for his friend, but the man was nowhere to be found. Karan tried calling Maan, but the number was unreachable. He could not give up so easily. Not when it concerned his brother. He raced back the jeep to grab his laptop. The entire team including the Commander carried trackers in their body. No one had access to the Commanders GPS Tracker other than the Hermies. And Hermies could nerve fail Phoenix.
