" Mia, what are you doing?!" Jay asked as he rubbed his eyes one early morning, leaning on the doorframe.
" Cleanin'. Why?"
Jay groaned. " Sis, you're cleaning the bathroom at six in the morning?"
Mia nodded as she reached for the spray. " Yep! The bathrooms ain't gonna clean themselves!"
Jay grabbed the spray from her reach. " You're taking a day off today." He said firmly.
Mia looked up and him. " What?! Why?"
Jay sighed, putting the bottle on the counter and picking his sister up as she washed her hands. " Because you've been awake since six for two weeks now! You always take the missions, you always clean the monastery. I'm calling the girls."
Mia groaned. " Come on, Jay. Think about it. Can you really deprive me of doing a good deed?"
Jay looked at her, square in the eye. " Yes."
Mia squirmed in Jay's arms, clearly not happy with the idea of taking a break. "But I like doing it! It keeps me busy, and besides, it's not like anyone else is jumping up to do the chores around here!"
Jay sighed and set her down gently. "That's the problem, Mia. You're doing everything. It's okay to take a break sometimes, you know?"
Mia crossed her arms, pouting. "I'm fine! I don't need a break."
Jay raised an eyebrow, amused by her stubbornness. "Oh really? Fine, let's test that theory. When was the last time you slept in past six?"
Mia blinked, glancing at the floor as she thought. "Uhh... maybe... two weeks ago?"
"Exactly," Jay said, folding his arms. "You're running yourself ragged, and if you keep this up, you're going to burn out. It's not a competition to see how much you can do."
Mia huffed, leaning against the sink. "I'm not gonna burn out. I'm tough."
Jay smiled softly, placing a hand on her shoulder. "You're the toughest person I know, Mia. But even tough people need rest."
Mia sighed, looking up at him with a begrudging expression. "So... you're really calling the girls?"
Jay nodded. "Yep. Annie and Emma are coming over, and they're taking you out for the day."
Mia's eyes widened. "No! Jay, I can't! What about the missions? What about—"
"I'll handle the missions," Jay interrupted, holding up a hand to stop her protest. "And Cole's taking over the cleaning today. You don't have to worry about anything."
Mia groaned, clearly unhappy but knowing she wouldn't win this one. "Fine," she muttered, crossing her arms. "But only because I don't want you all messing things up while I'm gone."
Jay chuckled, ruffling her hair. "That's the spirit. Now go get ready—Emma's gonna be here soon."
Mia stomped off toward her room, muttering under her breath. "I swear, if Cole messes up the kitchen again, I'm never taking a day off."
Jay shook his head, watching her go with a fond smile. "She'll thank me later."

Jay stood at the doorframe of the bathroom again, arms crossed, as he caught Mia mid-spray on the mirror. He raised an eyebrow. "Mia... what are you doing now?"
