Jay was a vampire.

Kai was a ghost.

Cole was Frankenstein, Zane was... Some random person, Nya was loch ness, and Lloyd was a land serpent.

Mia, though, was wearing her gi and headband. Nothing special.

" Uh, Mia... You do know we're gonna go now, right?" Lloyd piped up.

Mia looked up from her nails. " I know."

" Then where's your costume?"

" I'm not going trick or treating big brother."

" Wait, What?!" Jay exclaimed. " Why aren't you coming?!"

Mia cleared her throat. " There is work to be done. Also I never liked trick or treating. You go. Enjoy yourselves."

The others raised brows.

" But you're younger than us." Kai pointed out.

" What's your point?" At this time, Mia has come back with her cleaning supplies and was cleaning the window.

Lloyd was opening his mouth, but then closed it at a loss for words.

" Sure you don't want to go?" Jay asked as he grabbed his basket.

Mia looked up and shook her head. " No thanks."

Jay nodded, and all the ninja streamed out the door.

Mia sighed as she closed the door. " This is nice." She sighed as she turned the TV on to watch Kipper.

Ten Minutes later, the doorbell rang. Mia, confused, turned the TV off and went to open it.

Nelson was on the other side, looking nervous.

" Nelson? What happened?" She asked,. running to her husband on the other side of the door and close to the gate.

Nelson sighed. " Ca... Can I spend Halloween with you?"

Mia nodded, grabbed her husband's hand, and rushed inside.

" You can help me with the candy." Mia said.

Nelson blinked. " One question. Where is the candy?"

Mia's brow furrowed. " Right he-"

She opened a drawer, and found nothing.

" What?!" She exclaimed, dumping out all its contents and rummaging through them. " IT'S NOT HERE!"

" Mia, calm down." Nelson said as he dropped to his knees and rubbed her back.

Mia looked up, panic clear in her eyes. " But we need the candy!"

Nelson shook his head. " Mia, you're a baker. The best baker ever! Your caramel apples and chocolate apples taste so good!"

" What's your point?"

Nelson chuckled and helped her stand. " Well, if you put a Halloween spin on it, it might be better than candy."

" Good point, Nelson. Just one thing. We're both doing it, Nelson."

Nelson nodded and walked to the kitchen, hand in hand with his love for life. " Teach me, O wise baker!"

Mia giggled. " Hon, I'll show you."

As soon as they entered the kitchen, Mia glanced at Nelson with a determined look. "Alright, here's the plan. We’ll make caramel and chocolate apples, but we need to make them spooky. You know, something fitting for Halloween."
