At first the Guardians were against watching Peter for a few days but they practically raised Groot so a few days with a human baby shouldn't be too hard. Quill was at a nasa space port outside of Earth with the Avangers. Nasa had some work and needed some help. So the rest of the Guardians waited in space miles away.
"What can human babies do" asked Drax.
Peter sat there in his little star wars footed pajamas and chewing on a piece of metal.
"I don't know? But why is Peter chewing metal" said Gamora.
"I'm still watching him and he's fine" said Rocket.
"Metal isn't safe for Terran teeth Rocket. Peter could chip his tooth" said Gamora.
She took the metal away and gave Peter a chew ring to chew on instead.
"I am groot" said Groot as he entered the room.
"NOW, what do they want" asked Rocket.
"I am groot" said Groot.
Gamora picked up Peter and they all went to the control room where they could see the elector outside. Gamora sat in a chair and pushed a button the radio.
"Who am I speaking with" asked Gamora.
"Kraglin, but Yondu and the others are here" said Kraglin.
"Ask him what he wants. And I didn't steal any of their units" said Drax.
"What are you here for" asked Gamora.
"Quill hasn't come in for his yearly check in yet. So we came to pay him a visit" said Kraglin.
"How did they find us" asked Rocket.
"Did you forget the ship you are on was made by Ravagers? I put a tracker on it and in Quill" said Yondu.
"Peter is busy right now. Should we take a message and call back" asked Gamora.
"Just pull the ship into the hanger. You can stay on the hanger till Quill clocks in" said Yondu.
Gamora turned the radio off for a second and the group looked at each other.
"How are we suppose to watch Peter on the ship" asked Gamora.
Peter was still sitting her lap chewing the ring.
"I thought the ravagers raised him" said Drax.
"Ya but not as a baby" said Gamora.
"It's fine, Stark hired us to baby sit Peter. And Quill only has a day or two left with Nasa. I'm sure Peter can survive on the ship for a few days. As long as he is quiet" said Rocket.
Gamora rolled her eyes. This is a bad idea but there is a army of Ravagers outside and it's only for a few days. Gamora turned the radio back on.
"Okay, I'm pulling in" said Gamora.
The Milano entered the hanger and was parked in a empty spot before the group got off.
"Well, I took it Quill got busy after all" said Yondu.
"He'll be back in a few days. For now, do you have a space for Peter here" said Gamora.
Yondu looked at the baby she was holding. Peter sneezed and dropped the ring. Gamora picked it up and wiped it off before giving it back to Peter.
"Ya, we still got a few old things from Quill" said Yondu.
"And your baby is adorable. But Quill should of said he had a son" said Henry.
"Quill didn't have a child. We are just babysitting Peter here" said Gamora.
Yondu looked at the baby again. He chuckled and walked up to Peter.
"Well as long as he isn't trouble then I suppose it's fine" said Yondu as he leaned over to be eye level with Peter.
Peter looked at Yondu confused. He put his arm s out and mumbled before giggling.
