Ravager Kid

PETER POV:

I looked out the window at the space outside as I listened to some music. It's been a few days since I left Earth. I'm sure my family misses me. I don't know why I was taken by aliens.

I was beamed up onto the ship and into a empty room. I looked around scared and tried to listen for anything. The door opened and a man in a red suit entered.

"What's your name kid" asked the man.

"P, Peter" I said nervously as I stood up.

"Well Peter, I'm Kraglin" said the man.

"Oh, where am I" I asked.

"On a ship. Come on, I was ordered to bring you to meet the captain Yondu" said Kraglin.

He started to leave and I followed him.

"But I have to get back. My family is probably worried and my mom, what if she wakes up and I'm gone" I said.

My mom has flat lined before and came back. The doctors told me the Angel's weren't ready for my mom yet.

"You'll have to talk to Yondu about that" said Kraglin.

He grabbed my hand and we entered a control room. I screamed and hid behind Kraglin. What are those.

"Hes afraid of aliens and chooses to hid from us behind a alien" said one with laughter.

I closed my eyes and stayed hidden.

"Well it's easier for me to gain the kids trust when I look Terran" said Kraglin.

"Enough" said a man as there was some laughs.

I opened my eyes and a blue man walked up to us. Kraglin stepped aside so the blue alien could see me better.

"You must be Peter. I'm Yondu. The captain of the Ravagers" said the blue alien.

"I wanna go home. Can you take me home" I asked.

"No, you're stuck here with us boy" said Yondu.

"No, you have to take me back. My mother is going to be sad if she finds out I'm gone" I said as I started crying.

Yondu thought it over and groaned.

"Peter is lucky he is adorable" said Yondu in a language I don't speak.

"Kraglin set up a spare cot in storage for now for Pete to sleep on while we figure out what to do with him" said Yondu.

They decided the next day to keep me. I still don't know why. I felt a tap on my shoulder and looked up to see Yondu standing there with a bowl and a spoon. I paused the music and took my headphones off.

"I brought you dinner" said Yondu.

"Thanks" I said.

I set the player and the headphones down next to me and Yondu gave me the bowl of, what? I picked up the spoon and scooped up some soup before spilling it in the bowl.

"It's chunky and glowing" I said.

"Is that bad" asked Yondu.

"What is it" I asked.

"Glow Fungis, very popular among kids" said Yondu.

I scooped up some more soup and sniffed if before tasting it. It's, actually pretty good.

"You know you can leave this room anytime you want" said Yondu.

"I know, but I don't like the way everyone looks at me" I said.

"I'll try given them a friendly chat. But they are probably just mad that I promised them some Terra food to try. We found you and thought you were a lamb or something. Turns out you're just a boy" said Yondu.

"So why keep me" I asked.

"You're small, good for thieving" said Yondu.

"I'm not stealing from anyone. Plus I'm only eight years old. I'll grow to be bigger some day" I said.

"I know, but I reckin you'll be a good Ravager that day" said Yondu.
