Father Son Oliver and Barry

OLIVER POV: 

I just took down another bad guy and put the bow away. 

"So, another successful night. Any plans" asked Felicity as she turned around in her chair. 

"No, I got nothing. Although I have laundry that I need to do" said Diggle. 

"I think it's a good idea to take the night off" I said. 

My cell phone ringed and I walked over to pick it up. 

"It's Caitlyn" I said. 

"Please tell me Barry didn't die" said Felicity. 

I answered the call. 

"Hello" I said. 

"Oliver, it's about your son" said Caitlyn. 

"Give me the phone, just focus on stitching up Barry" said Cisco. 

"Barry, what happened to Barry" I asked. 

I tried to stay calm but with my son being a hero that is hard to not picture the worst has happened, again. Cisco took the phone. 

"Hi it's Cisco. Listen uh, good news is your son will survive" said Cisco. 

"Tell me what happened" I said trying to not sound angry. 

"He was fighting a metahuman called the mist. Barry came back to Star Labs unable to breath because the meta poisoned him. We had to put him out to remove the gas but he is doing okay right now" said Cisco. 

"I'll be right there" I said. 

I hung up and ran outside the building. 

"Ya just don't fill us in on what happened" said Felicity. 

I made it to Star labs and ran inside the building. 

"Where is Barry is he okay" I asked. 

"He's fine, he's resting in the room over there" said Wells. 

I quickly walked over to the room and saw Barry asleep on the bed. He had some gauze on his chest and was hooked up to monitors. He's alive, that's good. I took my arrow jacket off and put it on my son. Just to make sure he doesn't get cold. 

"Explain" I said. 

"Well there was a women who was murdered so Barry raced out there to inspect but came across the Mist" said Wells. 

"Mist" I asked. 

"I've been naming the bad guys" said Cisco. 

"Okay" I said. 

"Anyway the mist poisoned your son but we removed the gas and Barry is still asleep from the surgery but he will be okay. We just want him to stay here so we can keep a eye on him" said Wells. 

"Good" I said. 

I sat down in a chair. That scared the shit out of me. It's shit like this that makes me a over protective parent. But I'm able to sleep at night because I did teach Barry self defense. So knowing that he can kick a villain's ass when needed helps me sleep. My phone ringed and I saw it was Felicity. I answered the call and explained everything to her and Diggle. 

"Barry probably won't wake up till tomorrow" I said. 

"Okay, but Oliver don't go looking this guy" said Felicity. 

"I would never" I lied. 

"We're serious. I know that Barry is your son and you have powers but you aren't invincible" said Diggle. 

They know me to well.

"Fine, but I'm going to stay and watch my son" I said. 

After ending the call I stood up. I grabbed the chair and went to the room Barry was in. I haven't watched him sleep like this since he was in a coma. I still remember watching the explosion. 

I stood onto of a building looking at the city. It's a pretty slow night. I guess something like the particle accelerator is enough to make the criminals take the day off. As someone who has seen everything I don't find such as huge a interest as the humans. Suddenly there was a explosion. 

"Holy fuck" I said. 

A light came from star labs and went threw out the city. I watched it as it left but turned back to Star labs. Hundreds of lightning strikes hit all over the city. Including where Barry is at. 

I guess not much has changed since that night. I took a nap which turned into a few hours sleeping on the chair.
