PETER POV:
A few days ago Xandar had their tech pick up a explosion and a energy build up. They tried to send in some people to check it out but someone hacked the ships and turned them around to go back home. So the Guardians were called in. The Ravagers offered to help in exchange for a little prize.
"Okay guardians this might be dangerous so let's put on our mean faces" I said.
We made it threw the jump and looked at the space in front of us.
"What is that" asked Drax.
"I have never seen anything like this" said Gamora.
In front of us was a huge gas giant. But not like Jupiter or other planets. This looked more like a shield. I slowly flew the ship closer.
"We should pass threw in 3, 2, 1" I said.
To my surprise we actually made it threw and were now inside the gas giants.
"We actually made it" said Rocket.
"I am groot" said Groot.
Baby Groot was sitting on Gamora's shoulder. I looked around surprised as we flew threw.
"We are the first to make it threw" I said.
"Into what though" asked Rocket.
"There is power coming from the center" said Gamora.
We made it to the center and saw a person floating.
"What the hell" I asked.
A person was out there floating on their back. I parked the ship and put my mask on. I flew out to grab the person. I noticed that their face looks familiar. But I don't know why. I grabbed the person and flew back to the ship.
"Clear a spot" I said.
The table was cleared and I laid this person on them.
"They look familiar" said Drax.
"But who are they" asked Gamora.
"I never met them before" said Rocket.
Mantis put her hand on the person's head to use her powers.
"They are blocking powers" said Mantis.
"What" I asked.
"How" asked Gamora.
Mantis shrugged.
"No one has ever blocked my powers before. It's harder to access their mind" said Mantis.
"What can you access" asked Drax.
"They feel sad. Like they lost a relative and scared" said Mantis.
She groaned in pain.
"You okay" I asked.
"It hurts, they, are cursed" said Mantis.
She looks like she is in pain.
"Mantis" I asked.
"Can you wake them up" asked Rocket.
"Wake" Mantis said as she tried to wake them but there was a huge spark and Mantis yelped.
I grabbed Mantis and pulled her away from the person.
"You alright" I asked.
Mantis nodded.
"I think so, but that person didn't want me to wake them" said Mantis.
Her hand glowed and we looked to see it was burned. Some wrapping appeared around Mantis' hand and the glowing went away.
"That's not one of my powers" said Mantis.
"What do we do this corps of we can't wake them" asked Gamora.
"Take them to Xandar. They might be able to figure out who they are at least" I said.
Suddenly the ship lost power.
"Aaw come on" I said as a few of the others groaned.
"I just upgraded the engine" said Rocket.
"Just get this thing working" said Gamora.
"I may need some parts on knowhere" said Rocket.
"You mean if we make it to knowhere" I said.
I helped Rocket get the Milano started. The ship has never lost power like that.
"Nothing seems broken" I said.
"Are you sure" asked Rocket.
"I know this ship better then you. Yes I'm sure" I said.
"Maybe it was the person" said Drax.
"How? They are unconscious? It's just some faulty wiring probably" I said.
"But they did block my powers" said Mantis.
"That doesn't mean they can over power my ship" I said.
