Church: Every time I've talked to him 😍

As I said in my last chapter, I've been going to my current church since March. My family doesn't like it that much but I like it. I'm finally starting to make some friends, I'm comfortable there, and...

THE. GUYS. ARE. SO. HOT.

Especially a guy I've liked since day one. So I'm gonna be sharing my favorite interactions with him. By the way, his name is Holden and for the longest time I thought it was Colton, and then I thought it was Holton 💀.

(Side note: I've talked to him and he's replied three times, so... yeah. Another thing, the last two take place at the church's Youth Group which is every Wednesday from 7-9 PM and the first one is the middle school class on Sundays)

Logan had decided to not go to the middle school class with me so I went alone, which I didn't have a problem with so everything worked out. Before we started we played a game because why not.

All the chairs were lined up in a circle and one was pulled away so one person wouldn't be able to sit down, forcing them to stand in the middle. The person in the middle would have to say something about themselves and if you shared it in common with them, you would have to get up and find another empty seat.

I ended up right next to Holden and I was internally freaking out. Someone in the middle said to stand up if you were wearing the color red. I was wearing a magenta shirt which is a mixture of purple and red.

I wasn't sure if I should've stood up or not so I turned to Holden, pointed at my shirt and asked, "Is this red?" He looked over it and responded with, "Uhhh, I think so." I looked around and noticed that barely anyone had stood up and I didn't wanna get caught in the middle so I said back, "No, I'm not standing up, my shirt isn't red, it's purple."

He put his hands up and said, "Okayyy," and then we continued on with the game.

I'm not sure why but for weeks I'd attempted to hit Holden in the head with a ball. Probably to get his attention because I'm barely gonna see him because he's going into high school and my class allows 7th-8th grade but whatever.

The first time I tried to hit him in the head was when I was sitting on the church's steps that led up to the main preaching thingy, talking with a girl named Lily. The place was a full-out free-for-all--like it usually is--and a random guy walked in front of the stairs to watch everyone be chaotic.

Soon after, Holden walked over to the random guy and started talking to him. Their backs were face to us so we couldn't see their faces but I knew who they were.

A volleyball had suddenly rolled over to Lily and I. I looked over at her and said to her, "I dare you to throw that ball at his head," while pointing at Holden. Obviously because Lily is a sane person she said, "No!"

I really wanted to see what would happen so I bounced the ball out of her hand and aimed it at Holden's head. Okay, pause,

Half of me was saying to pretend to throw the ball at him but actually kick it away afterward. The other half of me was saying to throw it at him as hard as I could.

Those two parts of me not knowing what to do ended up making me throw the ball at him but missing so badly that he didn't even look over.

Since then, I'd wanted to throw a ball at him and hit him in the head.

However, when I would attempt to assassinate him, he spent the next few weeks in Italy with his family. When he got back to Youth Group, I put my plan in motion.

I would have a ball at the ready, and when he'd come up close to me, I'd throw it at him. So I grabbed a big, blue, rubber ball and stood by the Gaga ball pit, where right behind me, he was playing Basketball with his friends.

I turned around to look at him, and he came over close to me and took a five second break. In that moment, I decided to attempt to throw the ball at him.

Key word: Attempt.

The second the ball left my grasp, he leaned down to rest his hands on his knees and a guy ran behind him. Not only did I miss Holden, but I hit the other guy. I dramatically screamed and flopped down and Holden looked at me with a face that said, "Wtf is wrong with her."

I ran over to Logan and told him everything that happened. He didn't care.

As we were walking out of the building when Youth Group ended, I saw Holden about to go back inside. I didn't even realize I was talking until I heard myself say, "Hey, sorry for trying to hit you with a ball and missing, so.. sorry."

He looked at me confusedly and replied with, "I didn't know you tried to hit me but okay." He ran back inside. I couldn't believe it. His voice was a lot deeper than I'd expected and I also didn't think he'd hear me nor answer me.

I walked away with Logan, squealing, "I talked to him!" over and over again.

This next part is my favorite story of him and I.

Fast forward a few months later, I'm now playing 9 Square with Logan and his friends and I'm having a lot of fun. The cycle of why I was in line more than playing the game was: Logan would cut in front of me, then Logan's friends would cut in front of him to hang out with him, then ignore my existence until I spoke up about something.

(This part is irrelevant to the story so you can skip it if you want)

While I was talking with my, "Friends," I noticed Holden was playing Football with his friends because the 9 Square was in front of the Basketball hoop, so I continued to stand in line and talk with everyone.

I was talking with a different girl named Lilly when Holden's Football nearly hit my head and gave me a concussion. Holden came over and picked up the ball and I yelled, "Dude, that almost hit my head!"

Instead of apologizing, he looked at me weirdly and walked away. THE AUDACITY.

A little while later, I was standing in line again with Lilly when his Football HIT. MY. BUTT.

Holden came over and picked up the ball. I yelled at him, "That hit my butt that time!" expecting an apology at least, but he glared at me and left.

THE. AUDACITY.

(Ok this part is relevant)

Half of the people standing in line were cutting in front or behind people and I decided, why not.

I'd been eliminated and walked toward the line when I saw Logan with Holden right behind him. I put on my evil face and walked toward him.

I said to Logan, "Hello," then went to cut in front of him when Holden said to me, "Ah! I will not tolerate that behavior." I looked at him with a face that said, "Wtf." He had cut people multiple times and the one time I decided to do it, he got mad. What the heck.

"Back of the line," He said. I opened my mouth to say something but nothing came out, so I closed it and began walking to the back when Holden said, "Nonononono I'm just kidding, you can cut me."

So I walked in front of Logan and cut both of them 😎.
