{A/N: I feel bad for not updating in almost three weeks but I've been busy reading Lilah and trying to make friends with kids who go to my church and one of those kids want me to read KOTLC so I'm trying to catch up on that too. I remembered this story today and thought it was funny so here it is. Again, I'm sorry for not updating for so long and I'm also sorry for how long this author note is}

In one of my old houses, there was three floors: The top floor with all the bedrooms, the middle floor with the living room and the kitchen, and the downstairs floor with the family room.

In the family room, there was a brick area with a big, black wood burner on it. We never used it but we never got rid of it either. One day I went downstairs and saw my dad talking to Logan beside the wood burner.

I went up to them and asked them what they were talking about when I heard movement from inside the wood burner. My dad then explained to me that a bird had gotten stuck inside the wood burner somehow and to not, under any circumstances, open it and let the bird out.

Logan and I agreed and I carried on doing what I went to do, the bird making chirping noises and flapping around every once in a while.

A few days later, my mom and I were sitting in the living room. She was brushing my hair planning to braid it when both of us heard a blood curdling scream. We looked over at the stairs that led to the bottom floor and saw Logan running for his life, screaming like a maniac.

He dashed out the door to the backyard and proceeded to fall into the grass still screaming. My dad, who was out there at the time with Lainee, was disturbed and asked him what happened and to stop screaming.

Yup, he let the bird out.

We went downstairs in an attempt to catch the bird. I didn't fully get a glance at it but I saw it rapidly flying around the room. I can't remember this part very well but my dad somehow had managed to get the bird out.

My dad definitely was upset with Logan for disobeying his one rule but in the end the bird was okay and so were we.
