To the seekers of depth in the shallow world.

Shallow, shallow, everywhere,
Depth and love, no one would share.
People loved being shallow and bright,
Proud of weak connections, day and night.

Never did I want such a tie,
Love was what I sought, depth was my cry.
For I was different from the world's cold stare,
I saw beyond profit and loss, with a deeper care.

In a sea of superficial delight,
I longed for substance, a heart-to-heart sight.
But shallow waters were all I could find,
Leaving me searching, heart and mind.
