I wake up with a big headache.

It feels so familiar to the day I woke up in Sylus's villa.

But, on the other hand it doesn't.

I'm not in a bed.

I'm shackled.

To a wall, thick, heavy chains around my wrists and ankles.

I'm sitting on a cold floor, the room dark with stone walls and floor. There's absolutely nothing in this room. Only me and the chains.

And an iron door with grills.

Fuck! I really got kidnapped again and thrown into some kind of dungeon!

The moment I move, the screeching and clinking sound of the chains echo in the room.

»Aah. My experiment is finally awake...«, a deep voice says from behind the door.

I can see light shining through, then a shadow of a man coming closer.

A key is rustling and turning in the lock, before the door opens and a tall man with red hair and green eyes enters. He's wearing a grey suit, his hands in his pockets after he closed the door behind him.

»Who are you? Where am I?«

I feel like I have a dejavu...But this time I'm really concerned.

»My name is not important. You are my trap. That's why you're here. You don't need to know where 'here' is, little dove.«

»I'm not a dove, dickhead!«

He chuckles amused.

»To me, you are. Don't worry. You will see that everything that's happening will make sense. We just have to wait a little longer.«

»You're from EVER, aren't you?«

»No. I am EVER.«

Great! Another head of a dangerous organization that wants something from me!

»What do you want from me?«

»I want back what has been lent to you by us many years ago...«

»The aethercore. What else... «

»Correct. But I need something else to get it back. We have to wait until he arrives.«

An unbearable feeling of anxiety spreads inside of me.

Is he talking about...Sylus?!

He chuckles again, still too calm for the situation.

»Don't look at me like that. With those wide eyes. It can't be that big of a shock to you. You're very valuable to the leader of that damn Onychinus organization. I wasn't aware of the possibility to get both of you at the same time...Until he cought you from my hands and showed up with you on those public events. Then I knew what I have to do to get to him. That you are the key to the famous, goddamn Sylus.«

My chest is getting tighter and I have a hard time breathing.

»No...«

»Yes, little Dove. You are. And he's already on his way to rescue his precious little girl.«

»Please, you have me! Don't-«

»Shut up already!«, he yells, making me flinch.

»I don't care what you have to say or offer. I want both of you. I need both of you. And I will have both of you.«

»Fuck you!«

He clicks his tongue, shaking his head.

»No, thank you. Maybe after I got the two missing pieces of the aethercore out of your bodies and finally, yes, finally killed the only man dangerous for me.«

He's going to kill Sylus!
And I'm to blame...
